A connector housing of a valve connector integrally has a tube connecting portion on one axial end thereof, a pipe inserting portion on the other axial end thereof, and a valve housing between the tube connecting portion and the pipe inserting portion. A valve housing houses a valve body and a compression spring that biases the valve body in an axial direction into abutment with a housing inner surface. Anti-rotation ribs are provided integrally on an inner peripheral surface of the valve housing. The anti-rotation ribs abut the valve body so as to restrain the valve body from rotating.

Valve connector

A valve connector has a connector housing with a through-path and an internal valve disposed in the connector housing for opening and closing the through-path. The internal valve has a valve body with a plurality of guides. Each of the guides is provided with a support recess for receiving an axial end portion of a compression spring. A radially inward portion on a radially inward end of the guide with respect to the support recess extends longer than a radially outward portion on a radially outward end of the guide with respect to the support recess.

The present invention provides a heat resistant fuel hose comprising a rubber inner pipe with an inner layer and an outer layer in the inner pipe. The inner layer of the inner pipe comprises a hydrogenated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (H-NBR) that is mixed with zinc oxide (ZnO) and magnesium oxide (MgO) as acid acceptors and is peroxide vulcanized. The outer layer of the inner pipe comprises an epoxy cross-linking type acrylic rubber (ACM) that has been vulcanized bonded to the inner layer of the inner pipe. The inner layer and outer layer of the inner pipe of the heat resistant fuel hose of the present invention are strongly bonded, and the rubber inner pipe has excellent heat resistance.

Heat resistant fuel hose

A rubber hose having a multilayer wall is formed of an inner layer of NBR type rubber having a high AN content, available at a low cost and highly impermeable to fuel and an outer layer of a rubber composition having a minimum Mooney viscosity of 25 to 65 at its curing temperature and highly resistant to flattening. Those layers are extruded and cured together without the aid of any mandrel owing to the inside diameter and wall thickness of the hose and the thickness of the outer layer which fall within specific ranges. This process enables the manufacture of a fuel hose having a high fuel impermeability at a low cost, while protecting its inner wall effectively from flattening during curing.

Process for manufacturing a multilayer rubber hose and a product thereof

A method of connecting a resin hose to a metal pipe comprising the steps of: forming a fluororubber coating layer on an inner peripheral surface of the resin hose; forming a lubricating layer of a fluorine-containing lubricant on an inner peripheral surface of the fluororubber coating layer; and inserting an end portion of the metal pipe into an end portion of the resin hose formed with the lubricating layer. Fluorine atoms in a fluororubber molecular skeleton are hydrogen-bonded to hydroxyl groups introduced in a metal of the metal pipe and therefore the adhesion between the resin hose and the metal pipe is enhanced for improvement of the sealing property. Further, the lubricating layer facilitates the insertion of the metal pipe into the resin hose for the connection therebetween.

Resin hose connection method and resin hose connection structure produced by employing the method

A method of producing a fuel hose having superior adhesive reliability with superior initial adhesive strength between a tubular fluororesin inner layer and a thermoplastic resin outer layer and with restrained deterioration in adhesive strength after heat aging and immersion into fuel under severe conditions such as an inside of an engine compartment. The method includes plasma treatment on a peripheral surface of the tubular fluororesin inner layer, at least one treatment of water treatment and silane coupling agent treatment on the plasma treated surface and formation of the thermoplastic resin outer layer on the treated peripheral surface.

Method of producing fuel hose and fuel hose obtained thereby

A hose device for fuel transportation having superior methanol permeation resistance, methanol resistance, non-extractability with methanol, water resistance, heat resistance, pressure resistance, etc., when methanol is used as a fuel. The hose device for fuel transportation comprises a hose main body having a three-layer structure composed of an innermost layer made of a resin having methanol permeation resistance, an intermediate layer, and an outermost layer, and a quick connector mounted on the end portion of the hose main body. The aforementioned quick connector is composed of a housing section and a pair of O-rings. The aforementioned housing section is composed of a material having methanol permeation resistance, one end portion of the housing section is formed as an insert portion to be inserted into the aforementioned hose main body, and the other end portion is formed as a container portion for containing an engagement target member therein.

Hose device for fuel transportation

A plasticizer having a specific SP value and a specific molecular weight is added to NBR having a specific AN content in an ultrahigh range, or a blend of such NBR and less than 25 percent by weight of PVC so that a good balance may be obtained between its amount and the AN content of the NBR. A fuel hose for a vehicle having an inner wall layer formed from such a rubber composition and an outer wall layer formed from a rubber material having ozone resistance or cure flatting resistance is provided. The rubber composition is of good fuel impermeability and low temperature properties and also has a high conductivity. The hose is of good fuel impermeability and low temperature properties and also has a high conductivity.

Rubber composition and a fuel transporting hose for a vehicle

A relatively small amount of a plasticizer having an SP value of at least 8.8 and a molecular weight of at most 550 is added to blend rubber of NBR-PVC in which NBR has an AN content of from 43 to 50% by weight. The fuel impermeability and the low-temperature flexibility of the resulting rubber composition are improved to be comparable to those of FKM, and the amount of the plasticizer and its reaction product to be released from the rubber composition in fuel is reduced. Adding a controlled amount of carbon black to the rubber composition makes the composition have favorable electroconductivity. The rubber composition is formed into hoses or electroconductive hoses of low fuel permeation.

Rubber composition, hose of low fuel permeation, and electroconductive hose of low fuel permeation

A fuel hose comprises a single layered or multi-layered tubular rubber body and a thin film resin layer formed on the inner circumferential surface of the innermost layer of the tubular rubber body. The resin layer is formed of a resin such that an amount of permeation of 10% ethanol-mixed gasoline is 2 mg/cm,/day (at 60&deg; C.) or less when the thickness of the resin layer is 0.1 mm. A preferred example of such a resin is EVOH with an ethylene content of from 35 to 50 mol % or polybutylene aromatic ester. The fuel hose has necessary flexibility and shows excellent impermeability even to an alcohol-mixed gasoline.
