A vehicle moving apparatus executes a moving control to autonomously move a vehicle by controlling power output from an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. The moving control maintains an index value expressing a moving state within a predetermined range and decelerates the vehicle by causing the vehicle to coast. The apparatus uses a second start determination value that is smaller than a first start determination value when the moving control is executed, and limits power output from the internal combustion engine until exhaust gas recirculation control starts, which allows the power to move the vehicle to be output at high energy efficiency during autonomous moving control.

An ultrasonic bonding tool is used on a horn side or anvil side of an ultrasonic joining device in which two synthetic resin sheets that include a polyethylene layer, a polypropylene layer and a ceramic heat-resistant layer are superposed and joined together so that the heat-resistant layers face each other. The ultrasonic bonding tool includes a plurality of protrusions shaped as quadrangular pyramids having a flat top surface. Each of the protrusions has an apex angle formed by two mutually opposite side surfaces that is within a range of 110-130&#xb0;. When two separators of a battery cell are joined together using the ultrasonic bonding device with the ultrasonic bonding tool, a force with which the separators adhere to the protrusions is weak. In this way, the separators do not adhere to the horn during ultrasonic bonding of the synthetic resin sheets.

Ultrasonic bonding tool and ultrasonic bonding method

An ultrasonic bonding device includes a processing member, a biasing member, a first moving unit and a second moving unit. The biasing member biases a pair of separators to the ultrasonic horn. A first moving unit separates the ultrasonic horn and the biasing member from each other with respect to a transport path of the separators. A second moving unit moves the separators and positions a bonding portion of the separators between the ultrasonic horn and the biasing member. The first moving unit has a coupling cam rotationally driven by a driving unit, a first connecting portion coupling the coupling cam and the processing member, and a second connecting portion coupling the coupling cam and the biasing member, and separating the processing member and the biasing member from each other with respect to the transport path by rotation of the coupling cam.

Ultrasonic bonding device and ultrasonic bonding method

A method is used for a pair of bonding composite materials that are each provided with a melting material and a heat-resistant material. Each heat-resistant material includes a heat-resistant member and a binder member. The ceramic separators have ceramic layers that face each other and that are bonded. An ultrasonic wave is applied to the composite materials while applying a pressure thereto with a processing member. Also heat is applied to the binder members with a heating member. Here, the heater heats the binder members to a temperature that is greater than or equal to the glass transition temperature of the binder members and less than the melting point of the binder members.
