An output voltage obtaining unit receives information from an external charging facility and obtains a maximum output voltage of the external charging facility from that information. An upper limit voltage calculator calculates a battery voltage which is an inter-terminal voltage at the time of end of charging of a battery. A switching unit receives a result of comparison from a comparator. When relation of Vc≥VBu is satisfied in the result of comparison, the switching unit switches a charging relay to connect a DC inlet to a power line and a power line. When relation of Vc<VBu is satisfied, the switching unit switches the charging relay to connect the DC inlet to a bypass power line and a bypass power line.

Electrically powered vehicle and method of controlling charging of electrically powered vehicle

A charging controller is configured to carry out charging of a power storage with charging power to be restricted and to quit charging when a charging quitting condition is satisfied while charging is carried out. The charging controller is configured to change the charging quitting condition to move end of charging ahead in charging of the power storage by using a power feed facility when pricing of the power feed facility falls under time-based pricing and restriction of charging power is severer than a prescribed level, the time-based pricing being pricing that a fee is charged based on a charging time period.

Charging controller

A vehicle comprises a battery, a temperature adjustment unit, an inlet, a relay unit, a relay unit, a relay unit, and an ECU. When a power charging station is connected to the inlet, the ECU controls the relay unit to assume a closed position to perform external charging to charge the battery by the power charging station. When the ECU drives the temperature adjustment unit during the external charging and a component on a charging path at an electrical path located between a branch point and a branch point is higher in temperature than a threshold temperature, the ECU controls the relay unit to assume an open position and the relay unit to assume a closed position.

Vehicle

A control device controls charging of a power storage device mounted on a vehicle from the external power supply. The control device includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to acquire information relating to an electric power fee for the charging in each time slot divided in advance and cause, when the time slot is switched such that the electric power fee becomes relatively low after the switching of the time slot compared to before the switching during the charging, the external power supply to charge the power storage device so as to apply the electric power fee that is relatively low in the time slot after the switching.

Control device

A power transmitting device includes: a power transmitting unit that contactlessly transmits alternating-current power to be transmitted to a power receiving unit of a vehicle; a camera that detects a positional relationship between the power transmitting unit and the power receiving unit; and a power supply ECU. The power supply ECU is configured to perform an 'alignment process' performing a process using the positional relationship detected by the camera for aligning the power receiving unit with the power transmitting unit, and a 'power transmission function check process' causing the power transmitting unit to output a checking power to check whether a power transmission function of the power transmitting unit functions properly. When wireless communication is established with the vehicle, the power supply ECU initially performs the alignment process, and after it is determined that the alignment process completes alignment, the power supply ECU performs the power transmission function check process.

Vehicle power transmitting device with alignment and function check

A power transmitting device is configured to perform a 'power transmission frequency adjustment control' applied to adjust a power transmission frequency representing a frequency of power to be transmitted. A power receiving device is configured to perform a 'resonance frequency adjustment control' applied to adjust a resonance frequency of a power receiving unit contactlessly receiving the power transmitted from the power transmitting device. The power transmitting device uses control information received from the power receiving device to determine whether the power receiving device has a function of performing the resonance frequency adjustment control applied to adjust the resonance frequency of the power receiving unit. When the power receiving device has the function of performing the resonance frequency adjustment control, the power transmitting device selects one of the power transmission frequency adjustment control and the resonance frequency adjustment control that has a higher resolution.

Power transmitting device and power receiving device

A power supply ECU is configured to carry out extreme value search control for searching for a frequency at which a detected value of power loss is minimized, by oscillating a frequency of output power from an inverter. Then, the power supply ECU determines whether or not extreme value search in extreme value search control is poorly proceeding, and when extreme value search is poorly proceeding, the power supply ECU increases an amplitude of frequency oscillation of output power from the inverter.

Wireless power transmission device and power transfer system

A wireless power transfer system includes a power transmitting device and a power receiving device. When an abnormality occurs in the power transmitting device during power transmission to the power receiving device, the power transmitting devise stops power transmission. When power transmission is stopped, the power receiving device transitions to a sleep state which requires less power consumption than an operating state. When a first sleep time has elapsed since the transition to the sleep state, the power receiving device automatically starts up and sends the power transmitting device a request for resuming power transmission. When power transmission is stopped due to an abnormality in the power transmitting device, the power transmitting device resumes power transmission in response to receiving from the power receiving device a request for resuming power transmission as a trigger.

Wireless power transfer system, wireless power transmitting device, and wireless power receiving device

An inverter generates transmission power at a prescribed frequency and supplies transmission power to a power transmitter. A power supply ECU is configured to carry out turn-on current control for controlling a turn-on current to a restriction value or less by manipulating a frequency of transmission power by means of the inverter. Turn-on current control includes first processing for determining a direction of manipulation of the frequency for lowering the turn-on current based on a direction of variation in turn-on current at the time when the frequency is varied.

Wireless power transmission device and wireless power transfer system

A power transfer device includes a power transfer part configured to contactlessly transfer power to a power reception part of a power reception device, a sensor configured to detect a foreign object that is present between the power transfer part and the power reception part, and a controller configured to control the power transfer part and the sensor. The controller is configured to execute initial learning that learns an initial state of a detection result of the sensor before initiation of foreign object detection using the sensor. The controller is configured to determine presence of the foreign object by using a difference between the initial state and the detection result of the sensor after execution of the initial learning. The controller is configured to control the power transfer part to reduce power to be transferred to the power reception part when the initial learning is not normally executed.

Power transfer device and power transfer system

A power supply ECU is configured to: adjust magnitude of transmission power by adjusting a duty of an output voltage of an inverter; and adjust a frequency of the transmission power by controlling the inverter. The power supply ECU is configured to execute first control and second control. In the first control, the frequency is adjusted such that a loss of the inverter decreases while maintaining the transmission power, when a temperature of the inverter exceeds a limit temperature. In the second control, the transmission power is reduced, when the temperature of the inverter exceeds the limit temperature even if the first control is executed.

Wireless power transmission apparatus and power transfer system

A control unit of an electric power transmission apparatus is configured to perform alignment processing in which an electric power transmission unit and an electric power reception unit are aligned with each other and foreign matter sensing processing for sensing whether or not a foreign matter is present between the electric power transmission unit and the electric power reception unit, by using an image shot by a camera. The control unit selects an alignment prioritized mode in which alignment processing is performed in preference to foreign matter sensing processing before start of electric power transmission, and selects a foreign matter sensing prioritized mode in which foreign matter sensing processing is performed in preference to alignment processing during electric power transmission.

Electric power transmission apparatus and electric power transmission system

In a server, when a control portion receives second charging-method information indicating an external charging method corresponding to a vehicle, from the vehicle through a communication unit, the control portion extracts a charging apparatus compatible with the vehicle, by referring to first charging-method information indicating an external charging method corresponding to the charging apparatus and a second charging-method information DB. The control portion controls the communication unit such that the communication unit transmits positional information of the extracted charging apparatus to the vehicle.

Vehicle, charging apparatus and server for coordination by compatibility

A vehicle ECU executes a control process including: a step of determining whether or not contact charging is being performed; a step of executing a first slow change process for requested power if it is determined that contact charging is being performed; a step of determining whether or not wireless charging is being performed if it is determined that contact charging is not being performed; and a step of sending a power transmitting device an instruction for execution of a second slow change process for transmission power if it is determined that wireless charging is being performed.
