The present invention provides a hydrogen storage and release material including a two-dimensional hydrogen boride-containing sheet including a two-dimensional network containing n(HB) (n≥4, 0.001≤x/y≤0.999) having a molar ratio of boron to hydrogen from 1:0.999 to 1:0.001, the molar ratio being determined by thermal desorption spectroscopy, and mass measurement before and after a temperature rise, wherein the hydrogen storage and release material has: peaks derived from B1s of boron at 187.5±1.0 eV and 191.2±1.0 eV to 193±1.0 eV in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and a peak derived from a B—H stretching vibration at from 2400 cmto 2600 cmand also a peak derived from a B—H—B stretching vibration at from 1200 cmto 1800 cmin infrared spectroscopy.

Hydrogen storage and release material and method of producing same

A booster pump increases fuel pressure in a high-pressure system of a fuel supply system. A decompression mechanism reduces the fuel pressure. In case of a discharge abnormality of the booster pump which causes rise in the fuel pressure, the fuel pressure control system performs an abnormality handling to cause the decompression mechanism to stop the rise in the fuel pressure. In case of the discharge abnormality, and on determination of a warning-required state, in which the fuel pressure in the high-pressure system possibly exceeds a threshold pressure, a control device causes a warning state, in which the fuel pressure does not exceed the threshold pressure before the rise in the fuel pressure stops, even if the discharge abnormality occurs.

Fuel pressure control system

When switching an operation state of an engine in a hybrid system from a lean burn operation to a stoichiometry operation, the lean burn operation is once switched to a rich operation and then switched to the stoichiometry operation. During a period from before switching to the rich operation to after switching to the rich operation, an intake air restriction for restricting an amount of intake air to the engine is performed. As a result, the amount of intake air is made smaller than when the intake air restriction is not performed. Further, during the period in which the intake air restriction is performed before switching to the rich operation, a fuel cut for cutting fuel to the engine is performed.

Control device for hybrid system

A fuel pressure control system for a fuel supply system of an injector of an engine includes: a booster pump for increasing a high-pressure system fuel pressure; a pressure reducing valve for reducing the high-pressure system fuel pressure; and a control device for controlling the booster pump and the pressure reducing valve. The control device includes a valve opening necessity determination unit for the pressure reducing valve. The control device executes a valve opening control for opening the pressure reducing valve. The control device further includes a restriction execution unit for performing a valve opening restriction control in the valve opening control to prevent a pressure exceeding a predetermined target portion threshold pressure from being applied to a target portion.

A hydrogen generator includes a reaction vessel, a water supply, a temperature adjustor, and a controller. The reaction vessel houses a hydrogen generating material having hydrogen generating ability. The hydrogen generating material includes a two-dimensional hydrogen boride sheet having a two-dimensional network and containing multiple negatively charged boron atoms. The controller is configured to execute a hydrogen generating mode to generate hydrogen from the hydrogen generating material and a regenerating mode to recover the hydrogen generating ability of the hydrogen generating material. The controller controls the temperature adjustor to heat the hydrogen generating material at a first predetermined temperature during the hydrogen generating mode. The controller controls the temperature adjustor to adjust the temperature of the hydrogen generating material to a second predetermined temperature and controls the water supply to supply water during the regenerating mode.

Hydrogen generator

A timing setting section sets a fuel injection timing in a second half of a compression stroke of an internal combustion engine, at a predetermined computation timing, which is set for each combustion cycle of the internal combustion engine, when an amount of a reduction target component in exhaust gas detected by an exhaust gas sensor is greater than or equal to a predetermined value, on condition that the internal combustion engine satisfies a predetermined high temperature condition. The fuel injection control device further includes an injection control unit to compute a fuel injection period based on the injection timing set by the timing set unit and to control the fuel injection valve based on the injection timing and the injection period.
