Provided are a load drive apparatus in which a semiconductor chip using DTI for inter-element separation is mounted, the load drive apparatus being capable of diagnosing a dielectric strength voltage of the DTI and highly reliable and a failure diagnosis method of the load drive apparatus. There is provided a load drive apparatus in which a semiconductor chip is mounted. The semiconductor chip includes a load drive output unit formed on a semiconductor substrate. The load drive output unit has a first region where an MOSFET that controls load driving is formed and a second region insulated and separated by DTI from the first region and includes a first leakage current detection element provided in the first region, a second leakage current detection element provided in the second region, and a failure detection unit that determines a failure of the load drive output unit.

Load drive apparatus

Provided is a load drive slope control device that can reduce EMI noise, and power loss and heat generation when a drive transistor is turned on and off, and can prevent excessive high temperature-induced damage to the drive transistor at an excessive high temperature. Disclosed is a load drive control device including: a drive transistor that drives a load; a pre-driver that drives the drive transistor via an ON/OFF control terminal of the drive transistor; a capacitor that is connected to an input side of the pre-driver, a first current source that is ON/OFF controlled by a first signal, and generates current which is charged to the capacitor; and a second current source that is ON/OFF controlled by a second signal, and generates current for discharging the capacitor, in which an output voltage from the pre-driver is changed by charging or discharging the capacitor, the drive transistor is turned on and off by the output voltage from the pre-driver, and a linear ascending gradient and a linear descending gradient of the waveform of a voltage driving the load are obtained by turning on and off the drive transistor.

There is provided a highly reliable storage battery apparatus which can diagnose the status of a temperature detection unit and a cooling unit. In the storage battery apparatus comprising a battery module including one or more batteries, a plurality of temperature detection units and a cooling unit cooling the battery module, the temperature detection units measure, at least, the temperature of the cooling medium inputted to the storage battery apparatus, the temperature of the cooling medium outputted from the storage battery apparatus, and the temperature of at least one of the batteries and the battery module.

The present invention provides enhanced serial communication reliability in a situation where a plurality of cell controllers and a battery controller are daisy-chained to form a serial communication configuration. While the plurality of cell controllers and the battery controller are daisy-chained to form a serial communication configuration, the battery controller or each cell controller includes a communication speed detection means, which detects the communication speed of data input from an additional controller, and a reception timing correction means, which corrects the reception timing for data input from the additional controller in accordance with the communication speed detected by the communication speed detection means.

To reduce the width of isolation between the first and second p channel MIS&#x2022;FETs driven by different voltages, a first p channel MIS&#x2022;FET driven by a first supply voltage and a second p channel MIS&#x2022;FET driven by a second supply voltage higher than the first supply voltage are arranged in the same n well of the same semiconductor substrate, and the second supply voltage is supplied as a common well bias voltage to the n well.
