A binding machine includes: a wire feeder; a curl forming unit forming a wire feeding path for winding a wire fed in a first direction by the wire feeder; a binding unit configured to twist a wire wound around the objects to be bound; and a controller configured to control the wire feeder and the binding unit. The wire feeder includes a pair of feed members configured to clamp a wire and feed a wire by a rotation operation, and a feed motor configured to rotate in a first rotation direction to drive the feed members to feed a wire in the first direction, and the controller changes a state into a first state and a second state to feed a wire in the first direction, when a wire is inserted into a position where a wire is feedable in the first direction by the pair of feed members.

There are provided a brake control device and a brake control method capable of estimating a rigidity change due to a temperature change, uneven wear of a brake pad, an inclination of a brake disc, or the like with a low memory load and with high accuracy up to a region with larger thrust than a measurement range. A brake control device controls a braking unit including a friction member pushed on a braking target member, a piston that abuts on the friction member and moves in a linear motion direction by rotation of an electric motor, and a thrust detection unit that detects thrust of the friction member to the braking target member. The brake control device estimates a relation between a piston position being rigidity of the braking unit, and the thrust, based on a first piston range that is a thrust change as a first inclination with respect to the piston position, and a second piston range that is a thrust change as a second inclination different from the first inclination, with respect to the piston position.

A steer-by-wire control device according to the present invention includes a control device that controls a first motor that operates a steering wheel of a vehicle and a second motor that controls steering operation of a wheel. Before making a transition to an automatic driving mode of the vehicle, the control device applies input torque to the steering wheel by the first motor in a forward rotation direction and a backward rotation direction of rotation directions of the first motor, acquires behavior information of the steering wheel obtained by application of the input torque, and determines whether or not to estimate a control parameter of the steering wheel based on the behavior information.
