An image forming apparatus includes a memory and processing circuitry. The memory stores an identifier for identifying a defective page and an identifier for identifying a print job that includes the defective page. The processing circuitry determines whether print job data is data of a print job to be reprinted and determines whether a page included in a conveyance medium conveyed is a defective page, based on the identifier for identifying the defective page. The processing circuitry also performs control to eject a first conveyance medium including a page not determined to be defective to a first ejection destination, eject a second conveyance medium including a defective page to a second ejection destination, print an image of the defective page on a third conveyance medium, and eject the third conveyance medium on which the image is printed to the first ejection destination.

There are provided an image reading device and a printing apparatus that can reduce an influence of the shadows of suction holes. Suction holes, which are used to suck a sheet, are arranged on the peripheral surface of a drum that transports the sheet. The suction holes are arranged in grooves that are formed along a direction orthogonal to a transport direction. Accordingly, since an influence of the shadows of the suction holes can be reduced even in a case in which density unevenness is inspected on the basis of a read image, the false detection of density unevenness can be prevented.

Disclosed are a sheet conveying device and an ink jet recording apparatus capable of conveying a sheet in close contact with a drum without wrinkles. In a sheet conveying mechanism which presses a pressing roller against the front surface of a sheet being conveyed by a conveying drum to bring the sheet into close contact with the outer circumferential surface of the conveying drum, a back tension application device is provided at a position immediately before the sheet enters between the conveying drum and the pressing roller. The back tension application device sucks the front surface of the sheet to apply back tension to the sheet. Therefore, it is possible to prevent slackness of the sheet which enters between the pressing roller and the conveying drum and to prevent the occurrence of wrinkles.

According to an exemplary aspect of the present invention, it is possible to provide a communication device that can prevent misdetection of a disconnection and achieve a high output level on a receptacle side. In the communication device, a reference voltage generating circuit outputs a reference voltage that changes according to a first control signal. A differential amplifier circuit amplifies input signals and outputs differential output signals, the voltages of which change according to a second control signal, to a receptacle. A disconnection detector circuit outputs a disconnection detecting signal when a differential amplitude voltage between the differential output signals is equal to or higher than the reference voltage. The reference voltage generating circuit outputs the reference voltage that is larger than the differential amplitude voltage when the receptacle is terminated and that is smaller than the differential amplitude voltage when the receptacle is opened.

An operator sets a distance from the page head of an alignment mark using a mark position setting switch mounted in a duplex printing system. A first printer forms the alignment mark in a position of the distance from the page head of a web, and reports position information about the alignment mark to a second printer. The alignment mark is detected by mark detection means of the second printer. Control means performs control of a web transport speed so that a phase between generation timing of a mark detection signal which the mark detection means generates by detecting the alignment mark and control timing calculated from alignment mark position data, alignment mark interval data and a web feed control signal generated at a preset period becomes constant.

A capacitor for outputting a reference signal is formed by using a part of an envelope. A reference signal according to an anode voltage is output from the capacitor for outputting a reference signal. An unnecessary signal component included in an index-detection signal which is output via the capacitor for outputting an index signal is eliminated on the basis of the reference signal. With the configuration, only the required index-information signal is extracted from the index detection signal with high accuracy at a high SN ratio.

Correction data for correcting a display state of an image is formed by the correction data forming apparatus on the basis of an image as a reference displayed on the screen of a CRT. Further, on the basis of the correction data, an operation of correcting image data is executed so that an image is accurately displayed on the image display apparatus. The corrected image data is outputted to the CRT. Thus, a defective display state such as image distortion, misconvergence, or the like can be corrected at low cost and a high quality image can be displayed.
