Provided is a vacuum pump in which the flexing of a rotating cylinder made of a fiber-reinforced resin can be reduced as much as possible to sufficiently reduce the gap between the rotating cylinder and a fixed cylinder, and exhaust performance can thereby be improved to great effect. A vacuum pump comprising a thread groove pump portion equipped with a fixed cylinder portion () having a spiraling thread groove portion () provided in an internal peripheral surface, and a rotating cylinder portion () placed inside the fixed cylinder portion (), the thread groove pump portion exhausting through a spiraling exhaust flow channel due to the rotating cylinder portion () being caused to rotate, and the exhaust flow channel being formed from the thread groove portion () and an external peripheral surface of the rotating cylinder portion (). The rotating cylinder portion () is configured by stacking a plurality of fiber-reinforced resin layers, and the outermost fiber-reinforced resin layer is thicker than the adjacent layer.

Provided is a pressure vessel able to sustain a circular shape without deforming to ellipsoidal shape due to machining of side port apertures therein, and maintain pressures as high as 800-1,200 PSI. The pressure vessel is intended for use in seawater desalination by reverse osmosis, and comprises a pipe body () formed by filament winding (FW), and is furnished with an occluding cover () at each end of the pipe body (), the peripheral surface of the pipe body being furnished, inward from the occluding covers (), with inflow/outflow parts () through which the fluid flows in or out. The pipe body () is constituted by a helical layer (), hoop layers, and a seal layer () furnished as the innermost layer. The helical layer () is furnished with a divergent part () diverging away from the seal layer () and extending from a location outward from the occluding cover () to a location inward from the inflow/outflow part (). The hoop layers are constituted by a first hoop layer () furnished between the divergent part () and the seal layer (), and a second hoop layer () furnished at the outer circumference of the helical layer (), and extending from a location outward from the occluding cover () to a location inward from the inflow/outflow part ().

Internal pressure vessel

A highly practical tube body for a pressure transducer is provided which has excellent pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, and tensile strength; which can be manufactured at low cost in comparison with cases of using stainless steel; and which makes it possible to keep inside diameter precision high. In this tube body for a pressure transducer, the pressure applied to the interior is varied periodically, and a seal layer () is provided to the internal peripheral surface of a tube body () made of a fiber-reinforced resin composed of fibers wound in layers.
