A control device that is mounted in a second vehicle which a first vehicle having a following travel function is detachably connected to or loaded on is provided. The control device includes a control unit configured to perform: detecting another vehicle that is within a predetermined range from the second vehicle in a state in which the second vehicle has the first vehicle connected thereto or loaded thereon and of which some or all of a scheduled travel route is the same as some or all of a scheduled travel route of the first vehicle after the first vehicle has been disconnected from the second vehicle; and transmitting following instruction information to the first vehicle and disconnecting the first vehicle from the second vehicle such that the first vehicle travels with the detected other vehicle as a preceding vehicle by the following travel function.

It has been difficult to manufacturing a cylinder head having an EGR gas cooling structure which has high cooling performance and can be easily configured. A cylinder head having an EGR gas cooling structure is configured in such a manner that a gas passage which guides to the air intake port side a part of the exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust port is disposed within the cylinder head water jacket to cool the exhaust gas flowing through the gas passage. The gas passage comprises a cooling section which makes contact with the coolant within the cylinder head water jacket, and also comprises a hollow pipe which has high-strength sections located at side portions of the cooling section and having higher strength than the cooling section. The high-strength sections of the gas passage are molded within and surrounded by the cylinder head.

In an internal combustion engine, a first oil chamber includes a curved surface portion provided on the upstream side in an oil flow direction and an inclined surface portion provided on the downstream side. The engine is so constructed that oil drops from upper oil passages onto the curved surface portion on the upstream side of the first oil chamber and the inclined surface portion on the downstream side. The curved surface portion on the upstream side has a curved shape which is convex downward, and the inclined surface portion on the downstream side has a slope shape which is inclined downward with respect to the horizontal direction. The curved shape of the curved surface portion on the upstream side is connected to the inclined surface portion before a tangent line of the curved surface portion turns to the horizontal direction.

In a processing method for processing a cylinder block, a finish processing for the cylinder bore is performing, by pressing the portion of the bolt phase for fastening the cylinder head on the cylinder portion outer peripheral surface forming the inside surface of a water jacket, on the condition that the rigidity of the pressed portion on the cylinder portion toward the pressure from the side of the cylinder bore (the surface pressure from the grinding stones by honing process) is enhanced compared with the other portions.

In a dummy head (a jig for processing a cylinder block) having a dummy head body deforming a cylinder bore by assembling into a mounting surface of the cylinder block by bolt fastening, during the finish processing of the cylinder bore, a boss having a contact surface contacting a peripheral portion of the cylinder bore on the head mounting surface is provided on a mounting surface side for the cylinder block of the dummy head body, and at least the dummy head body has a higher rigidity than the cylinder block.
