Technology of the present invention improves the shielding performance of an outer conductor. A connectorincludes an inner conductorand an outer conductorthat surrounds the inner conductor. The first outer conductoris a member formed with a tubular shape by casting or cutting, and includes an accommodation portionthat accommodates at least a portion of the second outer conductor, and a first lock portionprovided inside the accommodation portion. The second outer conductoris a plate-shaped member and includes a second lock portionthat can be locked to the first lock portion. The second lock portioncan undergo bending deformation.

Connector with improved shielding

A connector includes a housing and an outer conductor. The outer conductor includes a first outer conductor and a second outer conductor. The housing includes a fitting hole into which the second outer conductor is fitted. The first outer conductor includes a first lock portion. In the state where the first outer conductor is located at a normal insertion position, the first lock portion is arranged so as to face the back side in the fitting direction of the second outer conductor in the fitting hole. The second outer conductor includes a second lock portion that is locked to the first lock portion in the state where the first outer conductor is located at the normal insertion position. In the state where the second lock portion is locked to the first lock portion, the second outer conductor is retained in the fitting hole.

Technology of the present invention suppresses a decrease in the impedance of an inner conductor. A connectorincludes an inner conductor, an outer conductorthat surrounds the inner conductor, and a dielectricarranged between the inner conductorand the outer conductor. The dielectricincludes a cavitythat extends in a predetermined direction and a locking holeformed in an inner peripheral face of the cavity. The inner conductorincludes an inner conductor bodyarranged in the cavity, and a locking portionthat bulges from the inner conductor bodyand can enter and be locked to the locking hole. The locking portionextends along the predetermined direction and is shaped as a double-supported beam whose upper and lower end portions are supported by the inner conductor body

It is aimed to enable the present or absence of an incompletely inserted state to be detected in a stacked connector. A connector () is provided with retaining portions () for deflecting a second base portion () of a second housing () outward in a stacking direction when a first housing () and the second housing () are locked in a state where a female terminal fitting () in an incompletely inserted state is present. Further, the second base () is provided with a detection rib () in a part easily deflected when the first and second housings () are locked to each other. The detection rib () is formed to project downward from the lower surface of the second base ().

It is aimed to provide a connector capable of suppressing opening deformation of an operating member and avoiding enlargement. A U-shaped operating member () is arranged to straddle a housing () and is linearly movable from an initial position to a connection position while arms () slide on the housing () and proceeds with a connecting operation of the housing () and a mating housing () by cam engagement of the arms () with the mating housing () during a movement. The housing () includes support shafts () and the arms () include linearly extending long grooves () into which the support shafts () are inserted to be slidable in contact therewith. The support shaft () includes jaws () and the long groove () includes an engaging edge () configured to contact the jaws () in an opening direction of the arm ().

An operating member () is displaceable to an assembled position, an initial position and a connection position with respect to a housing () and proceeds with a connecting operation of the housing and a mating housing () by cam engagement with the mating housing () when being displaced from the initial position to the connection position. The housing () includes resilient locks () configured to restrict a displacement of the operating member () in a direction opposite to that from the assembled position toward the initial position by resiliently locking the operating member () at the assembled position and restrict a displacement of the operating member () in a return direction from the initial position to the assembled position by resiliently locking the operating member () at the initial position.

An operating member () is displaceable to an assembled position, an initial position and a connection position with respect to a housing (). The operating member () is rotated from the assembled position to the initial position with support shafts () inserted into end portions () of long grooves () serving as a center of rotation and includes a rotating mechanism configured to increase a laterally projecting amount of the housing () as the operating member moves from the assembled position toward the initial position and a sliding mechanism configured to move the operating member in a direction to reduce the laterally projecting amount from the initial position to the connection position while the support shafts () are displaced relative to the long grooves () and proceed with a connecting operation of the both housings () by cam engagement with a mating housing () during a movement.

A moving direction of an operating member () from an initial position toward a connection position with respect to a housing () is selectable from directions along a first movement path and a second movement path opposite to each other. The housing () includes a first lock portion () and a second lock portion () at positions line-symmetrical with respect to a center of a length along the moving direction of the operating member (). The first and second lock portions () lock and hold the operating member () selected to move along the first movement path respectively at the initial position and the connection position and lock and hold the operating member () selected to move along the second movement path respectively at the connection position and the initial position.

An operating member () includes a plate-like arm () configured to cover an outer surface of a housing () and is displaceable to an initial position and a connection position. A resilient piece () is provided on an outer edge of the arm () and projects along a plate surface of the arm (). The resilient piece () restricts a displacement of the operating member () from the initial position to the connection position by resiliently locking a lock receiving portion () while being unlocked from the lock receiving portion () by being pressed by an unlocking portion () of a mating housing () and allowing displacement of the operating member () to the connection position. The resilient piece () is shaped to be delectable and deformable in a direction along the plate surface of the arm portion () when being pressed by the unlocking portion ().

A connector is miniaturized and while still preventing damage to locking lances. Deflectable first and second locking lances () configured to lock first and second terminal fittings () are arranged to be exposed on first and second facing surfaces () of first and second housings (). When the first and second housingsare assembled, the first and second locking lances () are arranged back-to-back with each other. Surfaces of the first and second locking lances () facing the first and second cavities () on tip parts in a projecting direction are continuous without any step and include locking surfaces () configured to lock the first and second terminal fittings () on tips in the projecting direction.

A female terminal fitting () includes a tubular main body () and a resilient contact piece () deflectably arranged in the main body portion (). When being inserted into the main body portion (), a mating male tab () comes into contact with the resilient contact piece () to deflect and deform the resilient contact piece () toward a base wall () of the main body portion (). Excessive deflection regulating portions () arranged at positions facing the resilient contact piece () in a deflecting direction of the resilient contact piece () and configured to regulate excessive deflection of the resilient contact piece () are provided on the base wall () of the main body portion (). The excessive deflection regulating portions () are bottom-raised toward the resilient contact piece () with respect to reference surfaces of the base wall ().

A female terminal fitting () is provided with a tubular main body portion () into which a mating male tab () is to be inserted, and a resilient contact piece () deflectably arranged in the main body portion (). The resilient contact piece () is resiliently deformed toward a base wall () of the main body portion () to resiliently come into contact with the male tab () when the male tab () is inserted into the main body portion (). An excessive deflection regulating piece () for regulating excessive deflection of the resilient contact piece () by coming into contact with the base wall () of the main body portion () is integrally provided to the resilient contact piece ().
