A centrifugal compressor includes: a housing including an intake flow path; a compressor impeller disposed in the intake flow path; a circulation flow path provided radially outside the intake flow path and connected to the intake flow path at a downstream position that radially faces the compressor impeller and at an upstream position that is upstream of the downstream position with respect to the compressor impeller; and a movable member disposed at the upstream position and including a body portion having a protruding portion, the movable member being movable between a protruding position where the circulation flow path is closed by the body portion and the protruding portion is located in the intake flow path, and a retracted position where the protruding portion is retracted from the intake flow path and the circulation flow path is connected to the intake flow path.

A centrifugal compressor includes: a housing including an intake flow path; a compressor impeller arranged in the intake flow path; a movable portion arranged upstream of the compressor impeller in a flow of an intake air; and a groove formed in an area other than a surface located on a downstream side in the flow of the intake air in the movable portion.

A centrifugal compressor includes: a housing including an intake flow path; a compressor impeller disposed in the intake flow path; an accommodation chamber formed upstream of the compressor impeller in the housing; a movable member disposed in the accommodation chamber and configured to be movable between a retracted position where the movable member is retracted from the intake flow path and a protruding position where the movable member protrudes from the accommodation chamber into the intake flow path, the protruding position being located closer to the intake flow path with respect to the retracted position, and a contacting portion and a non-contacting portion provided on an accommodation chamber opposing surface of the accommodation chamber, the accommodation chamber opposing surface being positioned upstream of the movable member, the contacting portion being contactable with the movable member, the non-contacting portion being non-contactable with the movable member.

A centrifugal compressor includes: an impeller including a main body portion and a plurality of blades provided on an outer peripheral surface of the main body portion; an intake flow path facing the impeller in a rotational axis direction; and a throttling mechanism including a throttling member provided in the intake flow path, a ratio obtained by dividing a distance between an outer peripheral end of a leading edge of the blade and the throttling member by a maximum protruding height of the throttling member protruding from an inner wall surface of the intake flow path is equal to or less than 4.
