The range-finding apparatus includes a light source, an optical receiver, a setting unit, a detector, and a calculation unit. The light source projects light with a first irradiation pattern in a first period and projects light with a second irradiation pattern in a second period. The optical receiver receives light to output a pixel signal. The setting unit sets a reference signal based on the pixel signal in the first period. The detector detects whether or not the pixel signal varies from the reference signal by a first value or more in the second period and outputs a first detection signal indicative of a result obtained by the detection. The calculation unit calculates a distance to a to-be-measured object using the first detection signal.

Range-finding apparatus and range-finding method

A solid-state imaging device adapted to encrypt data is described. The solid-state imaging device may include a sensor die comprising an array of imaging pixels formed on a first side of the sensor die and first wiring layers formed on a second side of the sensor die, wherein at least one of the imaging pixels is configured to generate specific signals; a logic die comprising second wiring layers formed on a first side of the logic die; and an encryption processor on the logic die configured to generate encrypted data using the specific signals. The first side of the logic die may be mounted adjacent to the second side of the sensor die and the first wiring layers electrically connect to the second wiring layers, wherein the at least one of the imaging pixels, the encryption processor, and a connecting conductor in which the specific signals pass through from the at least one of the imaging pixels to the encryption processor are located interior to the solid-state imaging device.

Solid-state imaging device and information processing method of solid-state imaging device

An image sensor includes a pixel array including multiple pixels. A lens is provided on an optical path of incident light to the image sensor. An actuator includes a coil, and supports positioning of the lens according to a driving signal applied to the coil. A position detection coil is arranged such that it magnetically couples with the coil of the actuator. An actuator driver supplies a pulse-shaped driving signal to the coil of the actuator driver. A position detection circuit generates a position detection signal that indicates the position of the lens based on an induced electromotive force that occurs in the position detection coil according to the driving signal, and feeds back the position detection signal to the actuator driver.

To reduce the number of ADCs in a solid-state image sensor that converts an analog pixel signal into a digital signal. An effective pixel generates an analog signal according to an amount of received light as an effective pixel signal using a power supply from a power supply line. A correction signal generation unit generates an analog signal including a noise component generated in the power supply line as a correction signal. A selection unit sequentially selects and outputs the effective pixel signal and the correction signal. An analog-digital converter performs processing of converting the output effective pixel signal into a digital signal and outputting the digital signal as effective pixel data and processing of converting the output correction signal into a digital signal and outputting the digital signal into correction data. A signal processing unit corrects the effective pixel data on the basis of the correction data.

Solid-state image sensor, imaging device, and method of controlling solid-state image sensor

A camera module of the disclosure includes: an imaging unit that includes a plurality of pixels, acquires a first detection value in one of the pixels in a second term out of a first term, the second term, a third term, and a fourth term that are set in order, acquires a second detection value in the relevant one of the pixels in the fourth term, and obtains a pixel value of the relevant one of the pixels on the basis of a difference between the first and second detection values; a lens unit including a lens and an actuator that drives the lens; and a driver unit that generates a drive signal and drives the actuator using the drive signal, in which the drive signal makes a transition in each of the first and third terms.
