A zeolite membrane composite for use in separation of a highly-permeative component through permeation from a vapor mixture or a liquid mixture comprising multiple components, the zeolite membrane composite comprising an inorganic porous support and a zeolite membrane provided thereon, wherein the zeolite membrane contains zeolite of a CHA-type aluminosilicate, and in a X-ray diffraction pattern obtained through irradiation to the zeolite membrane surface with X-ray, a peak intensity at around 2θ=17.90 has a value of less than 0.5 times a peak intensity at around 2θ=20.80 and a peak intensity at around 2θ=9.6° has a value of 2.0 times or more and less than 4.0 times a peak intensity at around 2θ=20.8°.

An object of the present invention is to provide a porous support-zeolite membrane composite ensuring that at the time of separation or concentration with a zeolite membrane, both sufficient throughput and high separation performance are achieved in practice and the present invention relates to a porous support-zeolite membrane composite having a porous support and a zeolite membrane formed on the porous support, wherein part of the zeolite membrane penetrates into the inside of the porous support and the distance from the surface of the porous support to the inside into which the zeolite film penetrates is 5.0 &#x3bc;m or less on average.

Provided is a method for producing an inexpensive, high-performance AEI type zeolite and an AEI type zeolite having a Si/Al ratio of 6.5 or less and an acidity of 1.2 mmol/g or more and 3.0 mmol/g or less, by using neither an expensive Y type zeolite as a raw material nor dangerous hydrofluoric acid. The present invention relates to a process for producing a porous support-zeolite membrane composite, which comprises forming a CHA type zeolite membrane on a porous support by a hydrothermal synthesis in the presence of seed crystals, wherein an FAU type zeolite is used as the seed crystals.

The present invention aims at providing a method for producing a high-concentration alcohol from a water-alcohol mixture, in which the overall process is efficient and the present invention relates to a production method of a high-concentration alcohol, including a water adsorption step of adsorbing water of a water-alcohol mixture on an adsorption column to obtain a first concentrated alcohol, a water desorption step of introducing an alcohol to obtain a hydrous alcohol, and a membrane separation step of introducing the hydrous alcohol into a membrane separation unit provided with a membrane composite containing zeolite having an SiO/AlOmolar ratio of 5 to 15 to obtain a second concentrated alcohol.

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a technology for efficiently separating carbon dioxide in a method for separating carbon dioxide from a mixed gas by using a membrane separation method. The problem is solved by a method including supplying a mixed gas to a separation membrane module to separate carbon dioxide from the mixed gas, in which the mixed gas is supplied to the separation membrane module at a high linear velocity in order to sufficiently mix a mixed gas in the vicinity of a membrane.

Provided is a method for continuous production of zeolite in which a starting material is continuously supplied to a tubular reactor to produce an aluminophosphate zeolite that contains, in the framework structure, at least aluminum atoms and phosphorus atoms or an aluminosilicate zeolite having 5&#x2264;SiO/AlO&#x2264;2000. The tubular reactor is heated using a heat medium; a ratio (volume)/(lateral surface area) of the volume (inner capacity) to the lateral surface area of the tubular reactor is 0.75 cm or smaller; and seed crystals are added to the starting material. Through using a small-diameter tubular reactor and heating with a heat medium, it becomes possible to heat sufficiently the entirety of a starting material (zeolite precursor gel) in a short time, and to allow reaction to proceed at a high rate. The occurrence of irregular pressure fluctuations during continuous production of the zeolite can be prevented by adding seed crystals.

Zeolite production method

The present invention provides a novel high-silica zeolite having a high molar ration of a tetravalent element (Y) to a trivalent element (X) in terms of oxide. A zeolite, comprising at least a trivalent element X and a tetravalent element Y, wherein a molar ratio n=YO/XOin terms of oxide is 9.5 or more, and the zeolite comprises an RHO-type structure, or comprising at least a trivalent element X and a tetravalent element Y, wherein a molar ratio n=YO/XOin terms of oxide is 9.5 or more, and a characteristic X-ray diffraction pattern. This zeolite is produced by hydrothermal synthesis of a zeolite from an aqueous gel that is prepared by adding a mixed solution comprising a crown ether, an alkali, and water to a solution containing an aluminum atom material, and by then dropwise adding a liquid containing a silicon atom material.

The invention relates to an inorganic-organic hybrid material which comprises an inorganic component and an organic component, has a content of the inorganic component of 20-80% by mass, and has a refractive index of 1.60 or higher, wherein, when preparing a strip specimen having a thickness of 1,000 &#x3bc;m, a width of 5 mm and a length of 70 mm by using the inorganic-organic hybrid material and winding the specimen by 180&#xb0; on a cylindrical metal rod having a diameter of 10 mm at 25&#xb0; C., the specimen does not crack.

A transition-metal-containing silicoaluminophosphate zeolite having excellent high-temperature hydrothermal durability is easily and efficiently produced. A method for producing a transition-metal-containing zeolite that contains a silicon atom, a phosphorus atom, and an aluminum atom in at least its framework structure includes hydrothermal synthesis using an aqueous gel containing a silicon atom raw material, an aluminum atom raw material, a phosphorus atom raw material, a transition metal raw material, and a polyamine (other than diamines). A transition-metal-containing silicoaluminophosphate zeolite produced by hydrothermal synthesis using a zeolite raw material and the aqueous gel containing the transition metal raw material and the polyamine has excellent high-temperature hydrothermal durability and high catalytic activity.
