The hydrogel of the present invention is a hydrogel comprising a polymer matrix, water and a plasticizer, wherein the hydrogel is characterized in that the plasticizer loss ratio is less than 2, the swelling rate is 115% or less when the hydrogel is exposed to the environment of 40° C. and 90% RH for 1 hour, and the initial adhesive force to a Bakelite plate is 100 gf/20 mm or more in the environment of 23° C. and 55% RH. The plasticizer is preferably polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether and/or sugar. The initial high adhesive force is retained by suppressing the swelling of the gel due to invasion of water from the outside and reducing the loss of a plasticizer.

Hydrogel

Provided is a biological information detection device capable of restraining noise from being mixed with a signal relating to biological information. A biological information detection device includes an electrode pad that is able to detect a signal (bioelectric signal) relating to biological information of a subject (for example, a fetus in a mother's body), a connector that is connectable to the electrode pad, and a cable that is connected to the connector and is able to transmit the signal. The electrode pad and the connector are provided with fixing members and that are attachable to and detachable from each other, respectively.

An adhesive hydrogel has low contact resistance against the body surface and excellent conformability and adhesiveness to the body surface, so that noise generation can be reduced. Such adhesive hydrogel enables measurements of weak fetal heart rate signals. Adhesive hydrogel and medical electrode using the same

Disclosed is an adhesive hydrogel containing a polymer matrix, water, and a polyhydric alcohol, wherein the polymer matrix contains a copolymer of a monofunctional monomer with a single polymerizable C&#x2014;C double bond and a polyfunctional monomer with two or more polymerizable C&#x2014;C double bonds, the monofunctional monomer contains a nonionic (meth)acrylamide-based monomer, and the polyfunctional monomer has a composition formula: CHO, where O is an oxygen atom in an ether bond, l is an integer greater than or equal to 4, m is an integer greater than or equal to 6, and n is an integer greater than or equal to 0.

Adhesive hydrogel and method for electrolytic protection of concrete structure

The invention aims at providing a polymeric hydrogel which is highly resistant to water washing. The aim is attained by a polymeric hydrogel comprising a polymeric matrix formed by copolymerizing a nonionic polymerizable monomer with a crosslinking monomer, characterized in that the polymeric matrix contains a wetting agent and water, at least 50 wt % of the wetting agent is constituted of a polymer prepared by polymerizing a polyhydric alcohol monomer component containing a trihydric or more alcohol monomer, and the polymer is a water-soluble one which has an average molecular weight of 150 to 4000 and satisfies the relationship: {(number of ether groups in the polymer+number of hydroxyl groups in the polymer)/number of carbon atoms present in the polymer}&#x2267;1/3.

Polymeric hydrogel

A gel adhesive composition of the invention contains a crosslinked water-soluble polymer, water, a moisturizer, an amphipathic polymer, a water-insoluble polymer having adhesiveness, and an electrolytic salt and the composition contains the water-insoluble polymer in an amount of 3 to 20% by weight and the amphipathic polymer in an amount of 0.05 to 7.0% by weight with respect to the total amount of the composition except water.
