Position adjustments of a chamfering cutter and a deburring cutter in a chamfering device with respect to a workpiece can be easily carried out. The chamfering device has a chamfering cutter, a deburring cutter which has a diameter different from that of the chamfering cutter; a cutter swing block, a cutter longitudinal feed block, and a base block, which rotatably support the chamfering cutter and the deburring cutter and are capable of subjecting the chamfering cutter and the deburring cuter to position adjustment with respect to the workpiece. The longitudinal feed block can perform single-axis feeding with respect to the workpiece. The chamfering cutter and the deburring cutter are disposed so that the cutting change amount of the chamfering cutter and that of the deburring cutter will be approximately equal to each other throughout the diameter range of the workpiece to be processed.

Chamfering device and gear processing machine provided therewith

A gear measuring method allows multi-point continuous measurement using a touch probe and is capable of reducing measuring time compared with known methods. For example, a base action for moving a sensing element of a touch probe along an ideal tooth form line of a workpiece (gear; W) or a tooth form line determined by calculation by controlling the movement of the sensing element and the rotation of the workpiece (W) and, in addition, an oscillation action for receiving first signals (ON signals or OFF signals) from the touch probe by bringing the sensing element into contact with the tooth surface of the workpiece during the base action and subsequently for receiving second signals (OFF signals or ON signals) from the touch probe by moving the touch probe in a direction along which the sensing element is separated from the tooth surface of the workpiece are continuously performed.

Gear measuring method

To provide a method of controlling a machine tool and a machine tool which allow preventing relieving interference without using a mechanism for causing an offset between a cutter () and a workpiece (), a controller () performs control such that the workpiece () is machined by repeating the steps of: machining the workpiece () by moving the cutter () for machining the workpiece () in a direction parallel to a rotational axis of the cutter () while rotating the workpiece () together with the cutter (); and returning the cutter () to a machining start position again after termination of the machining step, and performs offset control such that the cutter () is moved away from the workpiece () in a rotation direction of the cutter () upon the termination of the machining step.

Method of controlling machine tool and machine tool

A vibration-reduction mechanism for a gear cutting machine is provided with a vibration-reduction mechanism that includes balancer shafts arranged in parallel to a crank shaft. The balancer shafts rotate synchronously with the crank shaft at the same speed as the speed of the crank shaft. One balancer shaft rotates in the opposite direction to the rotational direction of the crank shaft while the other balancer shaft rotates in the same direction as the rotational direction of the crank shaft. The vibration-reduction mechanism also includes: main balancer weights detachably attached onto the crank shaft; and sub balancer weights detachably attached onto the balancer shafts. The balancer weights are selected on the basis of a stroke width of the main shaft and on the basis of a lead corresponding to the helical angle to be formed in the workpiece W.
