A disc device includes a first cam gearhaving a cam groove, and engaged with and released from one gear of a power transmission system, and a second cam gearhaving a hole portioncorresponding to the cam groove, laid on the first cam gearand rotatably supported relative to the first cam gear, and engaged with and released from one gear of the power transmission system.

A disk reproducing apparatus includes a disk detecting lever that has a switch abutting section and a light intercepting section and rotates according to the loading operation and the ejecting operation of a disk caused by abutment of the outer edge of the disk against a detecting pin; a single switch that is switched by the switch abutting section and thereby detects the loading start position, and also the inserting position of the disk; and a single photosensor that detects the inserting position of the disk with keeping the light intercepting condition thereof by either the light intercepting section or the disk and also detects the ejection end position when the light intercepting condition brought about by the disk has been released and then the light intercepting condition brought about by the light intercepting section is released.

A lever having an end rotatably supported by a rack is disposed, a long groove is formed in either another end of the lever or a base chassis and extends in a direction approximately perpendicular to a direction of transporting an optical pickup, a fulcrum member is disposed in either the base chassis or the other end and is rotatably and slidably engaged with the long groove, and to slide along the long groove when the optical pickup is transported, and a spring that always exerts a pushing force in a direction of rotating the lever with the other end being a fulcrum and with the end being a point of action to exert a pushing force of bringing the rack into contact a gear series upon the rack is disposed between a predetermined position of the base chassis and an intermediate position of the lever.

When ejecting or loading disk D of differing diameters, a device is provided which comprises a lever stopper which engages with and rotates with a disk stopper which displaces in the direction of disk loading by abutting with the disk D, and a cam stopper which engages with and rotates in synchrony with a lever stopper , which is pushed by the rotating lever open member above, which releases the engagement above and which becomes relatively displaceable.

Disk device

A disk device includes a chassis, a replay unit for supporting a disk placed within the chassis, rotating the disk, and reading data from the rotating disk, a vibration-isolating unit for holding the replay unit by connecting the replay unit to the chassis and for isolating the replay unit from vibrations, a carrying unit for carrying the disk between a disk inlet and outlet formed on the chassis and a replay position where the disk is to be fixed in the replay unit, a motor for driving the carrying unit, and a flexible printed circuit (FPC). The FPC is mounted to one lateral surface of the motor and is electrically connected to the motor. The FPC has a projecting portion which projects from an upper surface of the motor toward one surface of the disk fixed in the replay unit. The projecting portion of the FPC is adapted to be brought into contact with the disk to prevent the disk from coming into contact with the motor when the disk moves closer to the motor.
