A cooler may include: a housing including a coolant space in which coolant flows; partition walls partitioning the coolant space into a plurality of flow channels; and a plurality of cooling fins located in each of the flow channels. The partition walls may be curved tortuously such that each of the flow channels comprises wide portions and narrow portions. The wide portions and the narrow portions may be arranged alternately in each of the flow channels in a direction along which the coolant flows. A number of the cooling fins located in each of the wide portions may be greater than a number of the cooling fins located in each of the narrow portions.

Cooler

A solid-gas reaction substance-filled reactor includes a core part in which heat medium heat-transfer tubes and spacers are alternately stacked, a gas introduction/discharge part that communicates with opening ends of the spacers, and a heat medium introduction/discharge part that communicates with heat medium flow paths. Filled bodies including metallic foil bags and a solid-gas reaction substance filled in the bags are inserted into the spacers. At least the filled bodies and the heat medium heat-transfer tubes are brazed to each other. The solid-gas reaction substance-filled reactor is obtained by stacking the filled bodies with the solid-gas reaction substance filled into the metallic bags, the heat medium heat-transfer tubes, and the spacers in a predetermined order and then brazing them.

Solid-gas reaction substance-filled reactor and method for manufacturing the same

A heat pump system generates cooling by evaporating a refrigerant using an evaporator, and generates cooling by using a compressor to desorb refrigerant that has been evaporated by the evaporator and adsorbed at an adsorption device.

Heat pump system and cooling generation method

A fuel cell system includes: a plurality of reactor vessels containing a hydrogen storage material; a hydrogen tank storing a hydrogen gas; a fuel cell; a cooling device to dissipate exhaust heat from the reactor vessels or the fuel cell to the outside; a hydrogen gas line that can switch supply routes of the hydrogen gas among the reactor vessels, the hydrogen tank, and the fuel cell; a heat exchange line that can switch circulation routes of a heat exchange medium among the reactor vessels, the fuel cell, and the cooling device; and a control mechanism to switch the supply routes of the hydrogen gas and the circulation routes of the heat exchange medium.

A heat exchanger comprising: a heat exchange unit that exchanges heat between a heat transfer medium and a heat exchange object; a phase change unit, which comprises a liquid phase space that accommodates the heat transfer medium in a liquid phase state, and a gas phase space that accommodates the heat transfer medium in a gas phase state, the heat transfer medium being capable of moving into and out of the gas phase space; and a first channel along which the heat transfer medium is moved from the phase change unit to the heat exchange unit, wherein the heat exchanger is configured such that a saturated vapor pressure at a temperature of the heat transfer medium in the liquid phase flowing into the phase change unit differs from a pressure of the heat transfer medium in the gas phase in the gas phase space.

Heat exchanger and heat storage system

A thermal transpiration flow heat pump includes an evaporator that vaporizes a medium, a condenser that condenses the medium, and a medium transport unit that is provided between the evaporator and the condenser. The medium transport unit includes a medium-temperature heat source portion that is placed on a side of the evaporator, a high-temperature heat source portion that is placed on a side of the condenser, and a thermal transpiration flow pump that is placed between the medium-temperature heat source portion and the high-temperature heat source portion.

Thermal transpiration flow heat pump

A switching device sequentially switches from having an evaporator-condenser generate an adsorbate and an adsorbent adsorb the adsorbate, to having an evaporator-condenser condense the adsorbate and an adsorbent desorb the adsorbate, such that the evaporator-condenser that generates the adsorbate and the adsorbent that adsorbs the adsorbate face each other, and the evaporator-condenser that condenses the adsorbate and the adsorbent that desorbs the adsorbate face each other. Accordingly, one adsorbent repeatedly desorbs and adsorbs in alternation, and another adsorbent repeatedly adsorbs and desorbs in alternation.

An adsorption heat pump includes: an evaporator/condenser including a section that evaporates a first heat exchange-medium and pipe through which a second heat exchange-medium flows; first adsorption devices, each including an adsorption-section in which the first heat exchange-medium that has been evaporated reacts and retains the first heat exchange-medium, and pipe through which the second heat exchange-medium flows; and second adsorption device in which first heat exchange-medium that has been released from the first adsorption devices reacts and retains the first heat exchange-medium. The adsorption-section of the first adsorption device in a state reacting with the first heat exchange-medium is in communication with the evaporator/condenser section, and the adsorption-section of the first adsorption device is in a state having adsorbed the first heat exchange-medium is in communication with the second adsorption device adsorption-section, and the first adsorption device pipe is connected to the evaporator/condenser pipe in series, thereby generating cooling.

Heat pump and cooling power generation method

A heat storage device including a fuel tank holding a fuel to be combusted in an engine, a heat storage vessel including a heat storage material that dissipates heat by adsorbing or chemically reacting with a fuel gas that has been vaporized, and that stores heat by desorption by heating the fuel gas, a first flow path to feed the fuel from the fuel tank to the heat storage vessel, and a second flow path to feed the fuel gas from the heat storage vessel to the engine.

Adsorption heat pump system and method of generating cooling power

A gas storage/supply system includes a gas storage material capable of reversibly absorbing and desorbing a gas, a gas storage tank having the gas storage material sealed therein, a chemical heat storage material capable of making a forward reaction and a reverse reaction with an operation medium, a chemical heat storage tank having the chemical heat storage material sealed therein, a heat exchange mechanism for transferring heat between the gas storage tank and the chemical heat storage tank, and a control mechanism for controlling the gas storage/supply system such that gas absorption heat released upon absorption of the gas to the gas storage material is stored in the chemical heat storage tank and gas desorption heat which is necessary for desorption of the gas from the gas storage material is supplied from the chemical heat storage tank.

An object is to enable a compact and high output heat storage system to perform warm-up rapidly when a vehicle is started up, and after warm-up, to recover surplus heat that is present in a heat source in the vehicle to prepare for the next warm-up event. A heat recovery-type heating device includes: an ammonia buffer configured so as to be capable of fixing and desorbing ammonia that serves as a chemical reaction medium; and a chemical heat storage reactor provided with a chemical heat storage material that generates heat through a chemical reaction with ammonia supplied from the ammonia buffer, and that desorbs ammonia using surplus heat from a heat source and returns the ammonia to the ammonia buffer.

A hydrogen storage heat pump, including: a hydrogen storage unit in which hydrogen gas is stored in a compressed state; a hydrogen flow tube through which the hydrogen gas, which is supplied from the hydrogen storage unit, flows; plural hydrogen absorbing materials that are provided at the hydrogen flow tube, that each have a different absorption pressure at which hydrogen is absorbed, and that are arranged in an order such that the absorption pressure decreases in a hydrogen gas flow direction from the hydrogen storage unit; and a switching valve that is disposed between the hydrogen absorbing materials in the hydrogen flow tube and that switches a flow rate of the hydrogen gas.
