A lining for a metal, a lining powder and a lining resin composition which comprise a mixture of a maleic acid-modified polypropylene and a polypropylene, or a mixture of the above-mentioned mixture and an ethylene propylene rubber and/or an antioxidant; and a lining method.

Polypropylene lining

A stirring apparatus includes a container with a rotary stirring shaft therein. On the opposite sides of the rotary stirring shaft are mounted an upper vertical flat blade and first inclined flat blades opposite to each other. A first vertical flat blade has a sweptback blade associated therewith, and is mounted to the stirring shaft at a position under the first inclined flat blades, and a second inclined flat blade or blades and a second vertical flat blade having an associated sweptback blade are mounted to the stirring shaft at a position under the upper vertical flat blade. When the stirring shaft rotates, ascending flows of liquid to be processed along the inner wall within a vessel are generated by the upper vertical flat blade and the first and second vertical flat blades that are each associated with a sweptback blade. Descending flows of the liquid to be processed are generated by the inclined flat blades, thereby enhancing the mixing performance.

Stirring apparatus having blades creating a circulating flow

In order to improve mixing efficiency of highly viscous fluid, while structural simplicity being maintained, two types of stirring impellers are employed in a single stirring apparatus. One of such stirring impellers is a large flat impeller and the other is a slanted or screw-shaped impeller to cause an up-and-down flow. This principle is further utilized in a stirring tower type polymerization reaction apparatus which has an array of mixing areas, each of which corresponds to the stirring apparatus above, and partitions between the mixing areas. The partitions are disposed so that the temperature of reaction can be controlled easily. Undesirable effects such as 'dead space', space in which flow is insufficient, and the attachment of gelled material to the rotational shaft can be avoided while rather obvious, but no less important, advantages of efficient and uniform mixing, etc., are secured.

A process for classifying plastic-containing wastes which comprises dissolving a mixture of plastics containing polyolefin-type plastics in a hydrocarbon solvent (preferably of a xylene type) at a temperature of not lower than 60.degree. C. (preferably not lower than 80.degree. C.), vacuum-evaporating the solvent of the solution to cause precipitation of the polyolefin-type plastics dissolved therein, separating and recovering the major portion of the precipitate, further dividing the resulting separated solution into the concentrated liquor of the precipitate yet remaining admixed in the separated solution and the phase of a solution hardly containing the precipitate, recycling the concentrated liquor and using again for dissolving the mixture of plastics, and removing the solvent from the phase of a solution hardly containing the precipitate so as to recover the polystyrene-type plastics. A process for classifying plastic-containing wastes by separating and recovering the precipitate of the polyolefin-type plastics from the mixture solution containing the same in the above-mentioned process, which comprises connecting in series a plurality of solid-liquid separating devices, sequentially disintegrating and dispersing the precipitate separated by the separating device at a preceding stage in the separated solution flowing out from the separating device at a subsequent stage and again separating the precipitate by the separating device at a still subsequent stage.

A self-cleaning type stirring apparatus comprising a cylindrical container, a plurality of rotary shafts rotatably extending into said cylindrical container and not having a common axis of rotation, and the same number of stirring members as the number of said rotary shafts disposed in said cylindrical container at locations radially remote from the axes of rotation of said rotary shafts respectively and being slightly spaced from or in light contact with each other, the radially outermost one of said stirring members being slightly spaced from or in light contact with the inner wall of said cylindrical container, each of said stirring members being fixedly connected with each of said rotary shafts in such a manner that it will rotate around its own axis while rotating bodily incident to the rotation of the two rotary shafts to which it is connected, and said stirring members during rotation not interfering with each other.
