A neutralization apparatus comprising an ion generation element employing a novel, high efficiency discharge system capable of generating high concentration ions with a low ozone concentration. In the neutralization apparatus, the ion generation element is a minute electrode ion generation element consisting of a discharge electrode and an induction electrode having minute protrusions arranged in one direction on a plane, and a thin dielectric film sandwiched between them. The ion generation element is constituted of a set of a minute electrode ion generation element for generating positive ions and a minute electrode ion generation element for generating negative ions, characterized in that at least one or more ion generating elements are disposed so that the plane including each discharge electrode is parallel with the direction of gas flow and discharge electrodes are arranged perpendicularly to the direction of gas flow, and balanced control of positive and negative ions can be carried out at a position on the downstream side of gas flow by regulating a voltage applied to the discharge electrode of the ion generation element.

Neutralization apparatus having minute electrode ion generation element

An aerosol charge neutralizing device simple in structure and easy to maintain, comprising an aerosol passing container that has a conductive material-made tube body constituting an aerosol passing path permitting aerosol to flow therethrough and has an opening pair consisting of openings in pair disposed oppositely across the center line of the tube body and penetrating through the wall surface of the tube body, and insulation tube that has an insulation material-made tube, has a window pair consisting of windows in pair disposed oppositely across the center line of the tube and penetrating through the wall surface of the tube, and is fitted concentrically over the outer surface of the aerosol passing container with the windows coinciding with the openings, a bipolar ionizing element that has a discharge electrode on a dielectric film and is attached to the insulation tube with the windows closed and the discharge electrode exposed to the aerosol passing path, and an outer tube that includes air-tightly the insulation tube and the bipolar ionizing element between it and the aerosol passing container.

Aerosol charge neutralizing device

An ion generating element capable of cost reduction and space saving while exhibiting a high generation efficiency of positive ions and negative ions and stabilized generation capacity with less variation, and an ion generator and a neutralizer employing it. The ion generating element comprises a dielectric body having at least two faces, at least two discharge electrodes arranged on the at least two faces of the dielectric body, and an induction electrode arranged in the dielectric body and subjected to the action of the at least two discharge electrodes and is characterized in that positive ions and negative ions are generated on the body, and ions are generated from the at least two faces of the dielectric body through discharge generated because of the potential difference between the discharge electrode of the ion generating element and the induction electrode when a drive voltage is applied between them.

Ion generating element, ion generator and neutralizer

The present invention is relating to an ion generator and an ionizer, in which the ion generator can obtain stable ion generation even if the electrode and the power supply slightly change, satisfies voltage and frequency conditions for realizing an ozone concentration less than 50 ppb as an allowable concentration. The ion generator of the present invention is characterized as a fan-type ion generator including a dielectric body, a discharge electrode having fine protrusions arranged on the surface of this dielectric body, and an induction electrode arranged on the back surface of the dielectric body, comprising: an ion element in which by applying a sinusoidal AC high voltage to the discharge electrode, a potential difference from the induction electrode is generated, plasma is formed on the surface of the dielectric body, and positive ions, negative ions, and ozone are produced according to air ionization; and a fan which generates an airflow with respect to the discharge electrode, wherein the peak-to-peak voltage is not less than 3.5 kV and not more than 7 kV, the frequency f, and the relationship between the voltage V and the frequency f satisfies a specific parameter. And, the ionizer of the present invention is characterized that ionization is performed by using the above mentioned fan-type ion generator.

Ion generator and neutralizer

Fabrication of a quantum dot functional structure having ultra-fine particles homogeneously distributed in a transparent medium includes depositing such particles having a single particle diameter and uniform structure onto a substrate with the transparent medium. An apparatus for fabricating a quantum dot functional structure comprises: a generating chamber for generating high-purity ultra-fine particles by exciting a semiconductor target with pulsed laser light in low-pressure rare gas, and then allowing the semiconductor target to be detached or ejected by ablation and condensed and grown in the gas; a particle classifying chamber for classifying the ultra-fine particles; a depositing chamber for depositing the high-purity semiconductor ultra-fine particles and the transparent medium by exciting a transparent medium target with excimer laser light simultaneously or alternately when the particles are collected onto the substrate, and by collecting the substance generated through ablation onto the substrate; and a carrier gas exhaust system.

Method and apparatus for fabricating quantum dot functional structure, quantum dot functional structure, and optically functioning device

The present invention is to fabricate a quantum dot functional structure having ultra-fine particles homogeneously distributed in a transparent medium by efficiently fabricating high-purity ultra-fine particles having a single particle diameter and uniform structure and depositing the ultra-fine particles onto a substrate in conjunction with the transparent medium. For these purposes, an apparatus for fabricating a quantum dot functional structure is provided. The apparatus comprises: an ultra-fine particle generating chamber for generating high-purity ultra-fine particles by exciting a semiconductor target with pulsed laser light in a low-pressure rare gas atmosphere, and then by allowing the semiconductor target to be detached or ejected by ablation reaction and condensed and grown in the gas; an ultra-fine particle classifying chamber for classifying the ultra-file particles; a depositing chamber for depositing the high-purity semiconductor ultra-fine particles and the transparent medium by exciting a transparent medium target with excimer laser light at the same time or alternately when the high-purity semiconductor ultra-fine particles are collected onto the substrate, and by collecting the substance generated through ablation reaction onto the substrate; and a carrier gas exhaust system.
