A vehicle device receives image data transmitted from a compartment camera photographing a driver. The vehicle device analyzes the image data received from the compartment camera, and detects a heart rate of the driver. The vehicle device wirelessly communicates with one or more wearable devices possessed by one or more people who ride on a vehicle. The vehicle device identifies a wearable device possessed by the driver by comparing biometric information transmitted from the one or more wearable devices with the heart rate of the driver.

Vehicle device

A hands-free device disposed in a vehicle identifies a speech direction of an outgoing voice when a hands-free call operation is received. The device extracts callee information from the outgoing voice provided by an occupant to identify a portable communication terminal. In particular, the portable communication terminal is identified when the callee information extracted is registered in a telephone book data of the portable communication terminal. When the speech direction of the outgoing voice is identified as a driver side, the portable communication terminal identified is linked to the driver as a driver-linked terminal. Accordingly, a call being received by a portable communication terminal that is linked to the driver is performed as a hands-free call, whereas a call being received by a portable communication terminal not linked to the driver is not performed as a hands-free call.

Hands-free device

An in-vehicle handsfree apparatus establishes a handsfree profile connection with at least two cellular phones. It may be determined that a first cellular phone and a second cellular phone are receiving incoming calls at the same time, or that while a first cellular phone is calling, a second cellular phone is receiving an incoming call. In such a case, based on attributes (for example, a holder or intended use) of the first and second cellular phones, a notice manner of information on incoming call or information on telephone call is differentiated, for instance, in regard to a background color of a display window.

In-vehicle handsfree apparatus

When an in-vehicle handsfree apparatus establishes concurrent connection with a cellular phone via a Bluetooth interface device with respect to a phone book access profile (PBAP) for realizing a phone book data transfer as well as a handsfree profile (HFP) for realizing a handsfree phone call and a message access profile (MAP) for realizing a mail transfer, the in-vehicle apparatus is configured to start a connection process of PBAP without inserting the connection process of MAP, after the completing of the connection process of HFP.
