Proposed is a millimeter-wave band communication device which does not generate spatial resonance in a cover shielding unnecessary radio waves from the outside. Disclosed is a millimeter-wave band communication device including: a substrate; a radio frequency circuit element for a millimeter-wave band provided on the substrate; and a cover made of a bulk material that covers at least a part of the radio frequency circuit element and a surface of the substrate, the cover being formed by blending a dielectric loss material in a base.

Millimeter-wave band communication device

To provide a radar module used for a speed measuring device or the like, in which dispersion of intensity distribution of electromagnetic waves emitted from the radar module via a lens is small, the radar module using a substrate with a plane antenna formed on a surface of the substrate includes: a lens having one end face that is plane and another end face that is spherical. In the radar module, a plane side of the lens is disposed to contact the plane antenna, and a spherical side of the lens is disposed in a remote field of the plane antenna.

Radar module and speed measuring device using same

A speed sensor which aligns a normal direction of one patch antenna which is disposed on a mounted board, and an optical axis of a dielectric lens uses a frame for inclining a sensor module, in order to obtain a component cos &#x3b8; in a traveling direction when the speed sensor is installed on a horizontally vertical surface of an automobile or a railway car. When beams are condensed by using the one patch antenna and the cannonball-shaped dielectric lens, the dielectric lens is inclined and a bottom surface portion of the lens is cut with a plane parallel with a surface of the antenna-mounted board. The one patch antenna is configured by one patch and a GND electrode and the gain center of radiation characteristics is a normal direction of the antenna board. However, the radiation characteristics have a substantially hemisphere surface wave shape.

There is provided a finger-vein authentication apparatus including a light source for illuminating one surface of both side-surfaces of a fingertip of a finger with light, and an image sensor for imaging the other surface of the fingertip, the light source and the image sensor being positioned at both sides of a nail of the fingertip with the nail sandwiched therebetween, wherein a fingertip guidance jig for supporting the fingertip and a finger-root guidance jig for supporting a finger-root of the finger are disposed between the light source and the image sensor, a light-shielding unit being disposed on the light-source side, the light-shielding unit being used for shielding the illumination light such that the illumination light will not travel to a ball side of the finger.

Personal authentication apparatus and method

The present invention provides a small-sized pressure measuring module suitable for replacement of a tire, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The pressure measuring module detects pressure of air within a tire included in a wheel assembly attached to a vehicle body, and wirelessly transmits data on the detected pressure and a module ID of the pressure measuring module to a pressure monitoring device mounted on the vehicle body. The pressure measuring module has an antenna and an identification code. At least a portion of the antenna protrudes to the outside of the wheel assembly from the surface of a wheel included in the wheel assembly through a through-hole communicating with an inner space of the tire. The antenna wirelessly transmits the detected pressure value and the module ID to the pressure monitoring device. The identifier can be viewed from the outside of the wheel assembly and indicates the module ID.

Pressure measuring module for detecting air pressure within a tire included in a wheel assembly attached to a vehicle body and tire pressure monitoring system

In the manufacturing technology of an integrated MEMS in which a semiconductor integrated circuit (CMOS or the like) and a micro machine are monolithically integrated on a semiconductor substrate, a technology capable of manufacturing the integrated MEMS without using a special process different from the normal manufacturing technology of a semiconductor integrated circuit is provided. A MEMS structure is formed together with an integrated circuit by using the CMOS integrated circuit process. For example, when forming an acceleration sensor, a structure composed of a movable mass, an elastic beam and a fixed beam is formed by using the CMOS interconnect technology. Thereafter, an interlayer dielectric and the like are etched by using the CMOS process to form a cavity. Then, fine holes used in the etching are sealed with a dielectric.

Integrated micro electro-mechanical system and manufacturing method thereof

A thin personal identification device that in which the infrared light source, transmission light quantity control element array, and light receiving element array are positioned on the same side of a living body. A microcomputer controls the array to combine a first image, which is obtained from the living body when one region of the living body is radiated with light transmitted from the infrared light source, with a second image, which is obtained when another region of the living body is radiated, and identifies a person in accordance with the combined image.

Personal identification device

A tire pressure monitoring system is capable of ensuring accuracy of the rate of transmission of data via wireless communications without an increase in the number of oscillators and an increase in the cost. The tire pressure monitoring system includes a tire pressure measuring module. The tire pressure measuring module has a microcomputer, an activation control circuit, a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, a frequency divider, a transmitting circuit, and a battery. The microcomputer has a clock pulse generator, analog-to-digital converter circuits and a controller. The transmitting circuit has an oscillator circuit. The frequency divider divides the frequency of a carrier wave CW output from the oscillator circuit to generate a clock signal, and outputs the clock signal to the controller included in the microcomputer. The clock signal is used for the timing for outputting data to a data signal line DL. The clock signal for high precision data transmission can be generated without the need to provide an expensive oscillator in the microcomputer since the oscillator circuit is used in the transmitting circuit, and the clock signal used for data transmission by the microcomputer is generated by the inexpensive frequency divider.

Tire pressure monitoring system

A gas flow meter having a gas flow detection circuit for detecting a current flowing through a resistor installed in a gas passage and a voltage generated across the resistor and outputting a voltage signal representing a gas flow passing through the gas passage; a noise reduction circuit for reducing external noise; and a digital adjusting circuit for digitally adjusting a signal representing the detected gas flow and outputting the adjusted signal; wherein a voltage signal based on the signal adjusted by the digital adjusting circuit is output.

Gas flow meter

To provide a sensor mounting structure which enables mounting an automotive sensor directly to the wall section of a part to be detected, without using screws, and also mounting a pressure detector directly to a pressure air passage without using a pressure inlet pipe. The non-circular sensor mounting hole is provided for inserting a part of the sensor housing into the wall section of the part to be detected. In the sensor housing the first locking portion (pawl) and the second locking portion (flange) are integrally formed by molding. The housingis allowed to be inserted into the mounting hole under the condition that the pawl is directed to a specific orientation, and, after insertion, is turned through a specific angle. Therefore the pawl is engaged on the inside surface of the wall section. The flange is engaged on the outside surface of the wall section. The pawl and the flange are designed to hold the wall section of the part to be detected, thereby mounting the sensor. The projection of the hook is engaged with the recess provided in the sensor housingthus locking the sensor from turning.

Sensor mounting structure and semiconductor pressure sensor for motor vehicles

An apparatus for measuring a gas flow rate, which includes one or more resistors arranged in a gas passage, and a gas flow rate detection circuit for outputting a gas flow rate detection signal in accordance with a gas flow rate by detecting currents flowing through the resistors or voltages generated in accordance with the currents. The apparatus includes a fixed resistor connected in series to one of the resistors, and a first A/D converter circuit for converting an input voltage into a digital signal based on a reference voltage and outputting the digital signal by using a voltage generated in the fixed resistor as the reference voltage and using a voltage generated in a combined resistance of the resistor and the fixed resistor as the input voltage, wherein a digital output signal of a gas temperature detection signal is obtained by the first A/D converter circuit.

Gas flow rate measuring apparatus

A flow rate signal analog-digital conversion circuit , an adjustment processing circuit and a chip temperature sensor circuit are disposed a single semiconductor chip to form an integrated circuit, and a chip temperature signal in a form of digital signal outputted from the chip temperature sensor circuit is inputted into the adjustment processing circuit in which correction reducing temperature dependent error in a series of signal processing circuits is performed. Thereby, a board temperature dependent error in a gas flow rate measuring device can be reduced in which adjustment is performed for digital signals.
