The invention provides a measuring method for installing a measuring rodin a predetermined relation with respect to a coordinate system set to a mobile object, for transcribing a predetermined position of the measuring rod on a ground surface where the mobile object is set, for transcribing a measuring point of an object to be measured as set on the mobile object to the ground surface, for measuring a distance on the ground surface between the transcribed predetermined position and the transcribed measuring point, for obtaining a relation between the measuring point and the measuring rod on the ground based on a result of distance measurement, and for obtaining a position on a horizontal coordinate plane in the coordinate system of the measuring point based on the obtained relation and on the relation with the measuring rod with respect to the coordinate system, and the invention also provides a method for measuring a vertical distance between the predetermined position and the ground surface and a vertical distance between the measuring point and the ground surface, and for measuring three-dimensional position of the measuring point in the coordinate system.

A laser level detection system which detects a reference plane of laser at an arbitrary position includes a plurality of level detection units and an operation unit which displays a detection result of each of the level detection units and can operate each of the level detection units, and the laser level detection unit, which has detected the reference plane of the laser, outputs the detection result and an own identification signal of the level detection unit, and the operation unit displays the detection result and a receiving result of the identification signal of the level detection unit.

A laser beam receiver includes a filter device, and a photodetecting means including a plurality of photodetectors. The laser beam receiver expands a laser beam in a scanning direction in which the laser beam is moved for scanning and diffuses the expanded laser beam by the filter device. The filter device has a lenticular part capable of expanding the laser beam in the scanning direction, and a diffusing part capable of diffusing expanded laser beam.

A reference beam detector according to the invention can be used to accurately and efficiently perform a level shifting operation by means of a reference beam and effectively eliminate the use of markers and other devices that are structurally simple but entail cumbersome operations and also the use of a level shifter. The beam detector comprises a detector main body having a beam receiving section for detecting an emitted laser beam, a display section for displaying the position of receiving the emitted beam relative to the reference position of the beam receiving section and a slidable index section having an index for indicating the position relative to the reference position.

The execution height display device 104 has a light receiving section 112 for receiving the laser beam, an indexing section 118 for indicating a shift of the sensed laser beam relative to the reference position, and a data display section 108 for displaying the inputted grade or execution height. As the execution height display device 104 receives the laser beam, it senses the distance between the laser device 102 and the execution height display device 104 and then computes the desired execution height based on the set grade value. The computation result for the execution height is displayed on the execution height display portion 108c.
