The present invention includes a strain body having a connecting part and a fixing part, and a first strain detection element disposed on the strain body. The strain body includes a void, and the first strain detection element is disposed between the connecting part and the void.

A weight sensor includes a deformable body, a first strain resistor provided on an outer side surface of the deformable body, and a pressing member applying a load to the deformable body. The deformable body includes a tubular portion having a tubular shape extending along a center axis and surrounding the center axis, and a projection projecting from an inner surface of the tubular portion. The pressing member moves along the center axis so as to apply a moment to the tubular portion. The resistances of the strain resistors change greatly, allowing the weight sensor to measure a load with high sensitivity.

It is aimed to provide a strain detector having a fewer number of mounting parts and high operation efficiency and usability. The strain detector is provided with a cylindrical strain generator to be strained upon receiving a load, a resistor element which is arranged on the outer circumferential surface of the strain generator and whose resistance varies depending on the amount of strain, a signal processing circuit connected with the resistor element and screw portions arranged above and below the strain generator to sandwich the strain generator. The strain generator and the screw portions are integrated.

A vacuum cleaner includes a first dirt separation unit and a second dirt separation unit. The first dirt separation unit has a first inlet port through which a suction air stream including dirt particles is introduced thereinto, and the second dirt separation unit has a second inlet port through which the air stream introduced into the first dirt separation unit is introduced into the second dirt separation. The first and the second inlet port are disposed such that they are not registered with each other. Accordingly, the dirt particles suctioned are separated in two stages, thereby decreasing the possibility of occlusion of a filter and rapid deterioration of a suction force.
