An ozone generation device includes an inverter, an ozone generator, and a reactor. The inverter turns on and off a switching element by pulse width modulation (PWM) control to convert DC power into AC power. In the ozone generator, voltage of the AC power is applied to a dielectric electrode, and discharge is generated in raw material gas flowing in a discharge gap between the dielectric electrode and a metal electrode, so that ozone is generated by the discharge. The reactor is connected in series to a dielectric electrode, and reduces an inrush current that flows through the dielectric electrode when the switching element is switched from off to on by the PWM control by the inverter.

Ozone generation device and power supply for ozone generation device

An ozone generation apparatus includes a cylindrical shaped first electrode, a cylindrical shaped second electrode disposed coaxially with the first electrode and disposed in the first electrode, a dielectric disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. Dry air is supplied between the first electrode and the second electrode as raw material gas. A discharge gap length d formed by the first electrode, the second electrode, and the dielectric is set to be in a range of 0.3 to 0.5 mm. A pd product, which is a product of the discharge gap length d and a gas pressure p of the raw material gas, is in a range of 6 to 16 kPa&#xb7;cm. Ozone generation apparatus

A cylindrical tank-shaped container including: plural parallel electrode tubes; discharge tubes arranged inside the electrode tubes, each forming a discharge gap; a pair of end plates that penetrate and hold both of end sections of the plural electrode tubes; a cooling space formed by the pair of end plates and the inner surface of the tank-shaped container divided between end plates; a cooling medium inlet and a cooling medium outlet formed in opposite end sides of the cooling space; a raw material gas inlet that introduces raw material gas to be sent to the discharge gaps; and an outlet for ozone gas generated from the raw material gas by silent discharge in the discharge gaps, providing an electrode tube in which a discharge tube is not arranged, among the plural electrode tubes, that have surrounding coolant medium that reaches at least a prescribed temperature resulting from the silent discharge.

Ozone generation device

A treatment method for a used ion exchange resin, includes: bringing a used ion exchange resin into contact with a reaction solution, the used ion exchange resin having an ion exchange group with at least a radionuclide or a heavy metal element adsorbed thereon, and the reaction solution containing an iron compound, hydrogen peroxide, and ozone; separating at least a part of the reaction solution in contact with the used ion exchange resin from the used ion exchange resin; and decomposing an organic component contained in the reaction solution separated from the used ion exchange resin.

Treatment method for used ion exchange resin

An ozone generating apparatus includes a cylindrical high-voltage electrode and a coaxially arranged cylindrical low-voltage electrode. A predetermined high voltage is applied between the high-voltage and low-voltage electrodes via a dielectric substance to cause discharge generating ozone, the discharge gap length being 0.3 to 0.5 mm. One of the low-voltage and high-voltage electrodes is a metal electrode and the other a dielectric electrode. A projection group including plural done shape projections, arranged on same circumference of the metal electrode, is arranged on an inner peripheral surface of the metal electrode to hold the metal electrode coaxial with the dielectric electrode while keeping the discharge gap length. The projection group is arranged at a center portion in a longitudinal direction of the discharging space positioned away from both ends of the discharging space by a predetermined distance Lsatisfying, 0.0&#x2266;L/L&#x2266;0.1, L being length of the discharging space.

Ozone generating apparatus

An ozone generating apparatus according to one embodiment includes a hollow cylindrical sealed container provided with an inlet for a feed gas containing oxygen gas and an outlet for an ozonized gas. A discharge tube including a dielectric tube arranged within the container and a first electrode arranged within the dielectric tube is provided in the container. A second electrode is arranged within the container and surrounds the first electrode, spaced apart from the dielectric tube to form a discharge gap between the second electrode and the dielectric tube. The apparatus further includes a discharge voltage source configured to apply a discharging voltage across the first and second electrodes, and a cooling water jacket surrounding the second electrode. The dielectric tube has an outer diameter of 12 mm or more, but 19 mm or less.

In a flat display apparatus of this invention, which uses a discharge plasma, a UV discharge gas prepared by mixing Xe as a main discharge gas and Ne as a discharge control gas such that the partial pressure of Xe becomes, e.g., 15% is injected into a space between a display substrate and a counter substrate opposing the display substrate at a predetermined pressure. A plurality of first electrodes capable of specifying a position in the first direction on the substrate, a plurality of second electrodes capable of specifying a position in the second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and third electrodes (auxiliary electrodes) equal in number to the first or second electrodes are formed on at least one substrate at a predetermined interval. With this arrangement, the discharge start voltage required for initialization of the discharge generation portion (pixels between the substrates), a write in a memory, and discharge sustaining and memory erase operations can be set to be low.

Plasma display panel using Xe discharge gas

Ozonizing unit ozone generator and ozone-processing system

A transverse type gas laser oscillator includes a receptacle for containing a gas as a laser medium, a pair of electrodes disposed to be parallel to each other on opposite sides of the receptacle so that an electric field is established for generation of AC discharge when a high-frequency voltage is applied to them, and a pair of permanent magnets disposed so as to form a magnetic field intersecting a direction of the electric field established between the electrodes, or a pair of coils excited by a DC voltage. Consequently, ionization of the gas excited by the electric field is increased by the magnetic field.

Gas laser oscillator

A gas laser device includes a high frequency power source for generating a high frequency output voltage and a pair of electrodes positioned sandwiching a discharge gap through which laser gas circulates. The pair of the electrodes are connected to the high frequency power source for applying the high frequency output voltage across the electrodes to achieve discharge in the discharge gap and to thereby generate laser light. Each of the electrodes includes an electrode element, a capacity coupling control element provided on either side of the electrode element, and a dielectric shell. The dielectric shell surrounds the electrode element and the capacity coupling control element, therefore the discharge occurs between the dielectric shells of a pair of the electrodes. The dielectric constant of the capacity coupling control means is lower than that of the dielectric shell.

Gas laser device

A gas laser device, including an a.c. power source for generating a.c. output voltage and a pair of electrodes positioned sandwiching discharge gap through which laser gas circulates. The pair of electrodes are connected to the a.c. power source for applying the a.c. voltage across the electrodes to achieve discharge in the discharge gap such as to create a positive column region and boundary layer regions, thereby to generate laser light. The positive column region is created in the discharge gap and a.c. power injected therein contributes to laser excitation. The boundary layer regions is created in a vicinity of one of the pair of electrodes, respectively and a.c. power injected therein does not contribute to laser excitation. A frequency of the a.c. power source is set to at least 700 kHz and an a.c. output voltage of the a.c. power source is set at a level such that a voltage in the positive column region is larger than a burden voltage in the boundary layer regions.
