Waste plastics, which contain coloring agents and are in various forms, are heated and electrified to divide into three groups in order to collect them without crushing while maintaining their product forms. Each group consists of high exothermic plastics, low exothermic plastics or PVC.

Method and apparatus for identifying plastics

A three-dimensional measuring apparatus or similar contour measuring apparatus of the present invention includes a projector for emitting light, a lattice film or similar light transmitting member, and a camera. Light issuing from the projector is transmitted through the lattice film to illuminate an object to be measured. The lattice film is movable to a plurality of projecting positions in a preselected direction. The camera shoots the object being illuminated by the light. A driving device for driving the lattice film includes a cam follower associated with the lattice film, and a cam for guiding the cam follower. The cam has a cam surface including a plurality of contiguous, insensitive portions each for causing the lattice film to remain in a halt at a particular position when the cam follower contacts the insensitive portion.

A library apparatus can reduce number of motors to be incorporated and can reduce number of parts for simplification of construction for contributing to down-sizing of the apparatus and reducing a cost. The library apparatus of a storage media reads and/or writes information from and in a storage medium housed in a cartridge by withdrawing a desired one of a plurality of cartridges housed within a magazine which is loaded in an apparatus body, by cartridge loading and unloading means and loading the withdrawn cartridge in medium drive means. The cartridge loading and unloading means performs loading and unloading of the magazine to the apparatus body.

A library capable of receiving storage media or the like with a high storage efficiency, being simple in construction to permit reduction of the cost of manufacture and permitting access time reduction is disclosed. In an optical or magnetic disk drive, a cartridge access station (CAS) for moving a disk cartridge having a disk therein back and forth includes a belt which is driven by pulleys for conveying the cartridge. Stops for positioning the cartridge and a rubber or similar frictional conveying member are affixed to the outer periphery of the belt.
