A liquid crystal display device includes a first glass substrate, a second glass substrate, a first liquid crystal layer disposed between the first glass substrate and the second glass substrate, a third glass substrate, a fourth glass substrate, a second liquid crystal layer disposed between the third glass substrate and the fourth glass substrate, a first polarizing plate formed on the first glass substrate, a second polarizing plate formed on the third glass substrate, and a bonding layer disposed between the first glass substrate and the third glass substrate. In planar view, the bonding layer is disposed outside the first polarizing plate and the second polarizing plate, a surface on the bonding layer bonds to the first glass substrate, and a surface on the bonding layer bonds to the third glass substrate.

Liquid crystal display device

A backlight unit comprises a circuit board () having, a plurality of LED's () arranged in a matrix, a diffuser panel (), and a support pin () positioned between the circuit board () and the diffuser panel () for supporting the diffuser panel (). The support pin () includes a first fixation portion () inserted in a hole () formed on the circuit board (), a second fixation portion () positioned apart from the first fixation portion (), and a pillar () having a tip end supporting the diffuser panel (). The pillar () and the first fixation portion () are aligned in a direction perpendicular to the circuit board (). According to this backlight unit, it is possible to ensure freedom in wiring around the LED's () and to prevent the pillar () of the support pin () from hindering the light.

Backlight unit and liquid crystal display device

Provided is a liquid crystal display device () with increased light use efficiency and thin frame on the side on which the light emitting diode is disposed, including: a liquid crystal panel (); a backlight unit () including a light guide plate () and light emitting diodes being disposed side by side in a longitudinal direction of an incident surface; an intermediate frame (), which includes a plurality of protruding portions that protrude to an exiting surface side of the light guide plate (); and an end portion reflection sheet (), which is disposed on an exiting surface side of the intermediate frame () and adjacent to the plurality of protruding portions, extends in an array direction of the light emitting diodes, and includes tongue-shaped portions each extending between adjacent ones of the plurality of protruding portions.
