An anti-Newton ring film excellent in transparency and anti-scratching property is provided. The anti-Newton ring film comprises a transparent substrate and a resin layer formed on one or both sides of the substrate, wherein the resin layer comprising an ionizing radiation curable resin as a binder and a particulate material dispersed in the binder. Preferably, the particulate material is a lubricant.

Anti-Newton ring film

An optical film having high light transmittance and excellent light diffusibility is provided. The optical film comprises a transparent substrate 1 and a light diffusion layer 2 formed on one or both sides of the substrate 1. As the resin 3 of the light diffusion layer 2, an ionizing radiation curable resin is used in an amount of, preferably, not less than 50% of the resin and a small amount of the light diffusive agent is dispersed therein. The optical film exhibits excellent light diffusion effect even though the content of the light diffusive agent is small and also exhibits high light transmittance because of the small content of the light diffusive agent. Accordingly, this optical film is suitable for applications such as a color liquid crystal display which is required to have a sufficient brightness, and in combination with another optical material such as a prism lens.

Optical film

A light diffusion composite comprises a light diffusion material disposed on a prism sheet, wherein the light diffusion material is obtained by laminating a light diffusion layer including 100 parts by weight of acrylic resin and 100-220 parts by weight of spherical particles of polymethyl methacrylate on a transparent support. The light diffusion composite has better luminance in the front direction than the conventional light diffusion sheet and also has good light diffusibility.

Light diffusion composite

A light diffusion composite comprises a first prism sheet, a second prism sheet and a light diffusion material disposed in this order from the light emitting surface. The light diffusion material comprises a transparent support and a light diffusion layer formed on the support. The light diffusion layer comprises an acrylic resin as a binder resin and light diffusion agents including acrylic resin particles and silicone resin particles. The light diffusion composite has better luminance in the front direction than the conventional light diffusion sheet and also has good light diffusibility.

A reflective type screen has well-balanced properties and is capable of producing a clear image even in a lighted room. The screen has a reflective layer formed on a substrate, a polarizing film layer adhered to the reflective layer through an adhesive layer, and a light diffusion layer on the other side of the polarizing flim layer. The reflective layer preferably consists of a coating layer including a binder resin and aluminum paste and having a glossiness in the range of from 70 to 120% as measured according to JIS-K-7105. The glossiness of the surface of the product, i.e. the screen, is in the range of from 3 to 9%. In the above range of glossiness, the screen exhibits an even luminance and a good SG value.
