A laser processing apparatus includes a light source configured to emit laser light; a power supply configured to supply a current to the light source; a deflection unit on an optical path of the laser light and including an optical element configured to change an amount of transmission of the laser light to deflect at least a part of the laser light; an optical separation unit on the optical path of the laser light and being configured to shield higher-order light included in the laser light and deflected by the optical element in the deflection unit, and transmit zero-order light that is included in the laser light and passes through the deflection unit; and a signal synchronization unit configured to control the power supply to selectively turn the current on or off in synchronization with a timing at which the higher-order light is deflected by the optical element.

Laser processing apparatus

A battery includes a metal battery can that has a tubular portion having an opening edge portion and a bottom portion; an electrode body that is in the battery can; an electrolytic solution that fills the battery can; and a sealing member that has an outer peripheral surface facing an inner peripheral surface of the opening edge portion of the tubular portion and is configured to seal the opening edge portion. A part of the inner peripheral surface of the opening edge portion and a part of the outer peripheral surface of the sealing member are joined by a melting portion, and a preventing portion is on the outer peripheral surface of the sealing member, the preventing portion being configured to prevent the electrolytic solution from rising toward a position, in which the melting portion is formed.

Battery

A sealed cell includes a bottomed cylindrical outer casing can. The outer casing can is formed by nickel-plated iron, and a lead connected to one of a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and the outer casing can, are welded by a welding part formed from the outside surface of the outer casing can toward the lead. The welding part is formed by molten traces and has a first layer and a second layer having a higher nickel concentration than the first layer. The first layer is formed from the lead through to the inside of the outer casing can, the second layer is formed so as to adjoin the first layer on the outside surface side of the outer casing can, and the whole of the first layer is covered with the second layer when the welding part is viewed from the outside of the outer casing can.

Sealed cell and method for manufacturing same

When a linear welding trace is formed by welding a battery case and an electrode tab, an output of the laser increases to a first output during a first period after laser irradiation start to melt the battery case until the electrode tab is melted with the first output, the first output is maintained during a second period to melt the electrode tab and the battery case, the output of the laser decreases from the first output to a second output for melting only the battery case, and the second output is maintained until formation of the welding trace is completed or the laser output is decreased from the second output by an amount that is less than the decrease amount when the laser output decreased from the first output to the second output.

Welded structure and manufacturing method thereof

In a focus optical system for optical discs or optical disc master exposure apparatuses, a relative positional relation between a cylindrical lens and a 4-division detector in an astigmatic optical system is adjust so that an interference fringe appearing in reflected light derived from an optical disc master is made to be incident on a dead zone of the 4-division detector. Thus, an astigmatic focus servo free from effects of variations in a focus error signal due to the interference fringe is realized. As a result of this, effects of the interference fringe appearing in the reflected light derived from an optical disc or optical disc master can be suppressed.
