A solid composition comprises dimethyl sulfide and dextrin. The solid composition includes dimethyl sulfide in an amount of at least 2.1 μg per gram of the solid composition (2.1 μg/g). The dextrin present in the composition has a molecular weight of 50,000 or more. The solid composition comprises linear dextrin and cyclic dextrin, wherein the cyclic dextrin is one or more cyclodextrin(s) selected from the group consisting of α-cyclodextrin and γ-cyclodextrin.

An object of the present invention is to provide a solid composition that provides floral aroma when added to a medium such as water.
