A biodegradable block copolymer has high conformability and excellent degradability. The block copolymer including a polyalkylene glycol block and a polyhydroxyalkanoic acid block, wherein the mass ratio of the polyalkylene glycol block with respect to the total mass is 10 to 60%; the carbonyl carbon has a carbon nuclear relaxation time T1ρ of not more than 20 ms; and the block copolymer satisfies Equation (1): χ=χ1×χ2>20 (1) χ1: crystallization rate of the polyalkylene glycol block; χ2: crystallization rate of a poly-A block, wherein A represents, among the repeat units contained in the polyhydroxyalkanoic acid block, a repeat unit whose homopolymer composed of the same repeat units has a highest crystallization rate.

Biodegradable block copolymer

A cylindrical body for an implant is capable of maintaining a high patency rate by achieving a good antithrombogenicity, a low swelling property and a low Young's modulus. A cylindrical body for an implant includes: a cylindrical substrate having an elongation rate in the longitudinal direction, as measured under a tensile load of 20 N, of from 5 to 100%; and a block copolymer composed of a polyalkylene glycol block(s) and a polyhydroxyalkanoic acid block(s); wherein the ratio of the mass of the polyalkylene glycol with respect to the total mass of the block copolymer is 5 to 25%; and a film composed of the block copolymer has a Young's modulus of 200 MPa or less.

A tubular woven fabric is useful as a transport hose for a fluid or a powder, as a protective hose for linear bodies such as wires, cables and conduits, as a tubular filter, or as a base material of a vascular prosthesis. The tubular woven fabric includes warp yarns and weft yarns interwoven with each other, the tubular woven fabric having an outer diameter with a variation of within 10% along the warp direction and satisfying the formula:(2&#x2212;1)/1&#x2264;0.1.
