The invention provides a terminal chain so that a terminal can be connected with a signal conductor only by being press-formed by dies. A rectangular piece () is jointed to an end part extending in the longitudinal direction of a carrier (). The rectangular piece () is placed in dies () for press-forming. A signal conductor Wexposed at one end of a wire W is placed on the rectangular piece (). The rectangular piece () is press-formed by the dies () to enclose the signal conductor W. A terminal () which is connected with the signal conductor Wis formed. The contacting position of the carrier () and the terminal () is disconnected.

Method of manufacturing a chained terminal

In the invention, an upper die () includes an anti-extrusion projection () that projects toward a signal conductor () placed on an upper side of a terminal forming piece () loaded on a lower die () and a die inner wall surface () that situated on either side of the anti-extrusion projection () and that folds the terminal forming piece (). When the terminal forming piece () is crimped to the signal conductor () by means of the upper die () and the lower die (), the anti-extrusion projection () presses the signal conductor () downward, and the die inner wall surfaces () fold the terminal forming piece () such that both ends of the terminal forming piece () come close to the anti-extrusion projection ().

Die assembly and crimping method

A resin material can be prevented from flowing to a front end and a rear end of an inner terminal during an insert molding. Under a state that a hollow and tubular main body part () of an inner terminal () formed by covering one of two end parts of a rectangular piece with the other is held by metal molds (), () and (), the resin material is injected.

Insert molding method and inner terminal

A crimp terminal is inserted in one of terminal accommodating chambers provided for a housing of a joint connector to be electrically connected to another crimp terminal in another one of the terminal accommodating chambers. The crimp terminal includes: a first engagement portion formed at one end in a direction orthogonal to an insertion direction that the crimp terminal is inserted into the terminal accommodating chamber; and a second engagement portion which is provided at the other end which can be engaged with the first engagement portion. The first engagement portion is engaged with the second engagement portion of another crimp terminal for electrical connection of the two or more crimp terminals.

Joint connector

A connector for a coaxial cable which enables an end of a shield wire to be held inside a shield terminal as a housing, without generating a backlash, and can be made compact as a whole. Each of crimping barrel parts of a shield terminal is provided with a butting face which is opposed to each of flanges when the crimping barrel parts are folded at its one end, and an inclined face, at the other end at an opposite side to the butting face. The inclined face is brought into sliding contact with the inclined face of the other crimping barrel part when the crimping barrel parts are folded, and the inclined face is inclined to extend in a direction perpendicular to a direction where a pair of the crimping barrel parts are folded.

Connector for coaxial cable

To provide an end-processing structure of a coaxial cable, in which a catching engagement less liable to invite damage is achieved, a high tensile strength can be obtained, and also the reliability can be enhanced. A folded braid portionis formed by folding an annular projecting braid portionfrom its proximal end portionso as to superpose the folded annular projecting braid portion on one insulative sheath. When the proximal end portionof the annular projecting braid portionis bent, a terminal catching portionis formed at the folded braid portion. Even when a strong force is applied in a direction of withdrawing of a coaxial connector, the terminal catching portionof the folded braid portionand a pair of sheath press-clamping portionsare caught and engaged with each other, and also the terminal catching portionand a step portionof a press-clamping portionare caught and engaged with each other, that is, the metallic portions are caught and engaged with each other.

End-processing method of coaxial cable and end-processing structure of coaxial cable

To provide a coaxial connector and an assembling method of the coaxial connector in which an operation efficiency can be enhanced, and also facilities related to the assembling can be simplified. The coaxial connector is assembled through a first step of assembling an insulator assembly, a second step of setting the insulator assembly in an outer conductor terminal through an upper opening portion of the outer conductor terminal from a direction perpendicular to a terminal axis thereof, and a third step of holding an insulator of the insulator assembly by press-crimping a pair of press-crimping pieces for insulator holding and effecting the connection and fixing to a coaxial cable of the insulator assembly by press-crimping a pair of press-crimping pieces for braid connection and a pair of press-crimping pieces for sheath fixation.

Coaxial connector with efficient assembly operation

A connector includes a connector housing made of an insulator, a first terminal having one end fixed to the connector housing and the other end connected to an opposite side connector, and a second terminal having one end electrically connected to a circuit on a substrate and the other end fixed to the connector housing. The connector housing includes an opening which is open in a direction orthogonal to a surface of the substrate in a state of being mounted on the substrate and through which one end of the first terminal and the other end of the second terminal enter. The opening permits an electronic component being connected to one end of the first terminal and the other end of the second terminal to enter thereinto.

An antenna connecting structure includes a shielded cable including: a core wire; an inner sheath covering the core wire; a shielding member covering the inner sheath; and an outer sheath covering the shielding member, wherein one end of the core wire, the inner sheath and the shielding member are exposed at one end of the shielded cable in the longitudinal direction, an antenna member including: a dielectric body; and an antenna conductor which has an antenna portion molded in the dielectric body, and a terminal portion formed integrally with the antenna portion and press-clamped or press-contacted to the one end portion of the core wire, and a conductive ground terminal including: a receiving portion for holding the dielectric body so that the ground terminal does not contact the antenna conductor and the core wire; a shielding member grasping portion for grasping one end of the shielding member.

Antenna connecting structure and antenna connecting method

An intermediate portion of an insulating sheath of a coaxial cable is removed, and a first insulating sheath portion is drawn toward a second insulating sheath portion, so that a braid is projected into an annular shape outwardly from an interval between opposed ends of the first and second insulating sheath portions to form an annular projecting braid portion, and this annular projecting braid portion is fixed so as to be connected to a portion (that is, a braid fixing portion) of a coaxial cable shielding terminal for connection to an end portion of the coaxial cable. This connecting and fixing operation is effected by press-contacting or press-clamping.

Coaxial cable end-processing structure, coaxial cable shielding terminal and press-fastening apparatus

A coaxial connector with a built-in capacitor includes: a core wire connection terminal having, on a rear end thereof, a core wire connection portion for connecting thereto a core wire of a coaxial cable; an inner terminal having, on a tip end thereof, a fitted/connected portion fitted and connected to an other party's terminal; an insulator holding the inner terminal while covering an outer circumference of the inner terminal, and having a holding hole of the core wire connection terminal on a rear end thereof; a shield terminal having, on a tip end thereof, a cylindrical shell portion that covers an outer circumference of the insulator, and having, on a rear end thereof, a shield conductor crimping portion for crimping and connecting thereto a shield conductor of the coaxial cable; and an inner dielectric that is sandwiched between a tip end portion of the core wire connection terminal and a rear end portion of the inner terminal, and thereby composes a capacitor function portion while using, as opposite electrodes, the tip end portion of the core wire connection terminal and the rear end portion of the inner terminal.

A shield terminal for a coaxial cable, which is adapted to be electrically connected to a braid exposed at a terminal portion of the coaxial cable includes a shield portion which encompasses the outside of a core wire exposed at the terminal portion of the coaxial cable, a sleeve formed into a hollow cylindrical shape and adapted to be inserted between an insulator of the coaxial cable and the exposed braid when the insulator is fittingly inserted into the interior of the sleeve, a braid clamping portion adapted to hold the exposed braid together with the sleeve by being compressed and a sheath clamping portion adapted to hold a sheath of the coaxial cable by being compressed, and a slit is formed in the sleeve in such a manner as to divide a circumferential wall of the sleeve in a circumferential direction thereof.

Shield terminal for coaxial cable

At the time of connecting a shielding terminal to a coaxial cable, a connecting conductor portion presses a braid of the coaxial cable between an insulator and an insulating sheath of the coaxial cable so as to form a braid-gathering portion of an annular shape, and as a result of formation of the braid-gathering portion, an annular bump portion, serving as a terminal engaging portion, is formed at the insulating sheath. A sheath holding portion is arranged in such a manner that one side edge of the sheath holding portion is positioned adjacent to the terminal engaging portion.

A USB connector includes a receptacle which includes a receptacle shell and a receptacle terminal; a plug which includes a plug shell for fitting into the receptacle shell and a plug terminal; and an engagement release member which is provided on the plug shell so as to be movable between an engagement releasing position and an engagement position. When the plug is fitted into the receptacle, the plug terminal is electrically connected to the receptacle terminal. The plug shell has a retaining portion. The receptacle shell has an engagement portion which is engaged with the retaining portion when the plug is fitted into the receptacle. The engagement release member maintains an engagement of the retaining portion with the engagement portion at the engagement position. The engagement release member releases the engagement of the retaining portion with the engagement portion at the engagement releasing position.
