Hemispherical protrusions are protrudingly provided in end surfaces of a rotor gear and a tooth portion of a small gear having the smaller number of gear teeth between the rotor gear and a large gear of an intermediate gear, and between the small gear of the intermediate gear and an output gear, which are meshed with each other in a transmission gear train. Thus, in a case where the large gear rides on the rotor gear or the small gear rides on the output gear when the intermediate gear is accommodated in a housing after the rotor gear and the output gear are accommodated, it is possible to cancel the riding state thereof only by applying a slight vibration to the housing.

Power transmission gear unit and vehicle instrument

A meter unit includes a step motor, a gear, a braking spring and a case. The gear has a gear body and a rotation shaft. The braking spring urges the gear in a direction of an axis of rotation of the gear. The case accommodates the step motor, the gear body, a part of the rotation shaft, and the braking spring therein. The braking spring has a shape through which the first part of the rotation shaft passes. A first face of the gear body is formed with a recessed portion which accommodates the braking spring. A first part of the case supports a second face of the gear body. A second part of the case is configured to press the braking spring so that entire part of the braking spring is accommodated in the recessed portion.

An instrumental unit includes: a step motor; a gear including: a gear body rotated by torque of the step motor, the gear body including a first surface formed with a recess and a second surface opposite to the first surface; and a rotary shaft projecting from the first and second surfaces; a controlling spring accommodated in the recess, a center of the controlling spring through which the rotary shaft projects, the controlling spring having lengths in long and short axis directions orthogonal to each other and having a line-symmetric shape with respect to each of the long and short axis directions; and a case accommodating the step motor, the gear body and the controlling spring, an inner surface of the case including: a first portion supporting the second surface; and a second portion pressing the controlling spring in the recess of the first surface.

Instrumental unit

Provided is a pointer illumination structure which is simple, and in which a rotary part including a pointer body can be made lightweight. A containing coverof a pointer movementcontains a rotation driving mechanism including a rotorand an intermediate gear, an output gear, and so on. The rotation driving mechanism transmits rotation based on a measured amount to the output gear, and rotates a pointer bodysupported by a bearing, by way of the output gear. The bearingrotatably supports a shaftof the pointer body. A pointerof the pointer bodyindicates a measuring value according to rotation of the pointer bodyaround the shaft. A light sourceis provided for illuminating the pointerof the pointer body. In the pointer movement, the bearingis formed of a material through which light from the light sourcecan pass, and integrally formed with the lower coverof the containing coverat a position more adjacent to the light sourcethan the shaftof the pointer body, on an optical path.

Pointer illumination structure

A gauge, including a gauge face having indicia; a pointer configured to indicate a position on the gauge face based on input received from measurement; and an instrument for driving the pointer. The instrument for moving the pointer includes a flexible member connected to the pointer; a first pulley configured to respectively wind up both ends of the flexible member; a control device for preventing the flexible member from deviating from the first pulley; a second pulley spaced apart from the first pulley and configured to roll up the center portion of the flexible member; a motor configured to rotate the first pulley based on input received from the measurement and to drive the pointer around the gauge face; and a tension member.
