A card connection adaptor is provided which is used for connecting, to a connector of a card slot compliant with a first standard, a card compliant with a second standard. The adaptor includes: a first connector compliant with the first standard and adapted to be electrically connected to the connector of the card slot; a second connector compliant with the second standard; and signal conversion circuitry for performing signal conversion between a first-standard-compliant signal and a second-standard-compliant signal. A card retaining space for retaining the second-standard-compliant card inserted therein is formed in a housing which holds the first connector, the second connector and the signal conversion circuit. The card retaining space has a card insertion port which opens generally perpendicularly to an insertion direction in which the card connection adaptor is inserted into the card slot.

To easily connect a coaxial cable to electric connecting devices or a printed circuit board, to prevent the conductors of the cable from being disturbed, to secure the shielding performance of the signal line, and to enable connection of a very fine wire by means of an automatic machine, a binding member for a coaxial cable is formed into a tubular piece that is arranged to cover the outer conductor or the centered conductor which is exposed from the insulating covering of the cable. This binding member is made of a lead-free ultrahigh-conductive plastic resin composite. An electric connector for a coaxial cable has electric contacts, which each have a receiving port into which the binding member is inserted.

A connector for module that connects a module to a printed circuit board in a position wherein the board plane of the module is approximately parallel to the printed circuit board. This connector for module comprises a connector body having a receiving part that extends along the front side of a module being in the connection position and is provided in the rear face thereof with a groove into which the front side of the module is to be inserted, having a contact that is provided in the groove of the receiving part and contact a conductive pad while allowing the pad to shift in the direction of insertion/withdrawal when the module is in the insertion/withdrawal position in which the rear side is at a higher level than in the connection position, and having a supporting part that extend rearward from the receiving part to support both the left and right sides and the bottom of the module being in the connection position, and a metallic cover that is put over and is engaged to the connector body to sandwich the module between itself and the supporting part and keep the module in the connection position. This connector for module prevents defective connection and disconnection of the modules due to thermal load and elastic deformation. The connector for module reduces the effects of electromagnetic waves, etc. on the connector for module and the module to stably maintain the operation of the circuit.

Connector for module

An electric contact using resin solder is connected to a printed circuit board without requiring soldering work. The circuit board has a conductor on a surface or in an intermediate layer thereof, and a through hole or a concaved part that penetrates the conductor. The electric contact includes a protruding part, which is inserted into the through hole or the concaved part, and a connecting part, which is connected to a conductor of a counterpart member such as a counterpart second circuit board. At least a part of the protruding part that connects to the conductor of the printed circuit board is made of a lead-free ultrahigh-conductive plastic resin composite. An electric connector includes the electric contact and an insulating housing, which holds the electric contact so that the protruding part and the connecting part thereof protrude outwardly.

A connector of the present invention is provided with a ventilation means that permits air to pass through along an electronic module with respect to a housing means holding said electronic module. The housing means includes a main body mounting thereon contacts to be connected with conductive pads provided at a front end of the electronic module and a pair of arms, projected from opposite ends of the main body, to hold the electronic module at opposite ends thereof. The ventilation means is provided at the main body and/or the pair of arms. The ventilation means thus formed can permit the electronic module to be cooled efficiently.

Connector

An electric contact using resin solder is connected to a printed circuit board, which has a conductor provided on a surface thereof. This electric contact comprises a leg, which contacts the conductor of the printed circuit board, and a connecting part, which is connected to the conductor of the counterpart member. At least a part of the leg, which contacts the conductor of the printed circuit board, is made of a lead-free ultrahigh-conductive plastic being a conductive resin composite. An electric connector includes the electric contact and an insulating housing, which holds the electric contact so that the part of the leg, which contacts the conductor of the printed circuit board, is exposed.

The connector module includes: a connector having contacts to be electrically connected to the rear electrodes; and a fixture structure for fixing the connector to the integrated circuit device.

In an electrical connector of the present invention, a cover is mounted on a main body in such a manner as to be rotatable around a shaft and is rotatably connected with a slider at a position thereof shifted from the shaft. A connection object, e. g., memory module, is detachable supported by the slider. When the cover is rotated, the slider is moved reciprocally with respect to contacts arranged in the main body in association with the rotation of the cover, so that the memory module can be connected with the contacts. By virtue of this, the loading or unloading of the memory module can be simplified and also the connector or the memory module can be prevented from being damaged or deformed during the operation.

A balanced transmission shielded cable includes an inner conductive shield ( ) and an outer conductive shield ( ) surrounding the inner conductive shield ( ). In an annular region (A) defined between both shields ( ), unshielded twisted pairs ( ) for signal transmission and shielded drain lines ( ) are alternately disposed in annular array. The shielded drain lines ( ) contact both shields ( ) and are led outside and grounded. A connector of the invention includes a main body; a terminal, arranged at the main body, to be electrically connected with a connection object having at least one uneven part; and an auxiliary member mounted on the main body and having at least one fitting part to fit to the respective of the at least one uneven part of the connection object. According to the invention, when the uneven part varies in location and/or configuration in accordance with the types of the connection objects used, only the connection object having the uneven part corresponding in location and/or configuration to the fitting part formed in the auxiliary member can be loaded onto the connector to prevent erroneous loading of the connection object. Also, by eliminating all of the fitting parts from the main body and arranging them on the auxiliary member, or by eliminating the fitting part to fit to the uneven part that varies in location and/or configuration in accordance with the types of the connection object from the main body and arranging them on the auxiliary member and also arranging the remaining fitting part that remains unchanged in location and configuration regardless of the types of the connection object on the main body, the structure of the main body can be shared with different types of connection objects. This can allow the connector to accommodate two or more types of connection objects by simply replacing the auxiliary member.

An electronic module of the invention is so structured that a plurality of first electronic components are mounted on a top surface of a card-like substrate; a first radiating board is commonly stuck to two or more top surfaces of the first electronic components; a plurality of second electronic components are mounted on a bottom surface of the substrate; and a second radiating board is commonly stuck to two or more bottom surfaces of the second electronic components. The heat generated by high-speed operation of the first and second electronic components is radiated to outside air through the first and second radiating boards.

A card connection adaptor to be used for connecting a card slot compliant with a first standard to a card compliant with a second standard by fitting the card in the card slot. The adaptor includes: a first connector for signal transfer to and from the card slot; a second connector for signal transfer to and from the card; and a card-shaped housing. The housing has first and second covers and a frame held between the first and second covers. The housing is formed with a card retaining space for retaining therein the card, and has a card insertion port provided on one end face thereof and communicating with the card retaining space. The first cover is formed with a cut-away portion recessed from the card insertion port in a card insertion direction and having a greater width than the card.
