An induction cooking device includes a light-pervious top plate on which a container with liquid contained therein is to be placed. A heating coil resides below the top plate to heat the container. An electrode is located at a portion of a lower surface of the top plate outward of a periphery of the heating coil. A capacitance detection device detects changes in capacitance of the electrode caused by liquid boiled over from the container. The top plate includes a light emitting part by which visible light, applied from a light source placed below the top plate, is transmitted to fulfill light emission. The light emitting part is located at a portion of the top plate between the periphery of the heating coil and the electrode, as viewed from above the top plate.

Induction cooking device

The cooking device includes a top plate on which a container is to be placed, heating devices provided below the top plate, electrodes provided in a lower face of the top plate and including a boiling-over detection parts placed near an outer periphery of a portion of the top plate positioned above the heating devices, contact parts for supplying an AC current to the boiling-over detection parts, and contact parts for connecting the contact parts and one-side ends of the boiling-over detection parts to each other, respectively, an electrode-use capacitance detection device for detecting changes in capacitance of the boiling-over detection parts, and a control device for controlling the heating devices based on changes in capacitance detected by the electrode-use capacitance detection device. The contact parts are provided at positions farther from the heating devices and on a more front side of the cooking device than the boiling-over detection parts, and the connection parts run through on the outer peripheral side of the boiling-over detection parts.

The cooking device includes a top plate on which containers are to be placed, heating devices provided under the top plate, electrodes provided on a lower surface of the top plate, capacitance detection devices for detecting changes in capacitance of the electrodes, and a boil over determination device for determining a liquid boiled over from the containers on the basis of the changes in capacitance detected by the capacitance detection devices in heating operations of the heating devices. The electrodes have a plurality of arc-shaped detection parts provided along periphery of each of the heating devices.

A cooking device includes a control mode switch selecting a control mode for controlling a heating operation; a setting switch for selecting a set value in each control mode; a heating control unit for controlling a heating unit based on the control mode and the set value inputted through the control mode switch and the setting switch; and a selection switch for selecting the operation mode. The operation modes include a first operation mode in which all of the plurality of control modes are set to be selectable and a second operation mode in which only part of the control modes are set to be selectable. The heating control unit disables at least one control mode switch when the second operation mode is selected by the selection switch.
