According to one embodiment, a vehicle drive apparatus configured to drive a vehicle includes a motor arranged on a bogie to drive a wheel, a cooling fan arranged to be rotatable integrally with a rotational shaft of the motor to cool the motor, a control device arranged under a floor of the body to face the bogie and configured to supply an electric power to the motor and control the motor, and a ventilation duct arranged between the motor and the control device and configured to guide a cooling wind blown by the cooling fan into the control device.

Vehicle drive apparatus

A gas exhaust structure of a battery includes a rupture valve formed in a battery body, and a pipe unit composed by integrating a coupling pipe and an exhaust pipe with each other. A one-side opening of the coupling pipe is coupled to the rupture valve. The exhaust pipe is coupled to an other-side opening of the coupling pipe, guides gas that spouts out from an inside of the battery body through the rupture valve and the one-side opening of the coupling pipe, and exhausts the gas to an outside. The exhaust pipe is arranged to be offset with respect to the rupture valve without allowing an extended line that passes through a center of the rupture valve and a centerline of the exhaust pipe to be perpendicular to each other.

A totally enclosed type main drive motor for a vehicle includes a stator core arranged on an inner circumference of an outer casing frame, a bracket arranged on one end of the outer casing frame to have a bearing built-in, a housing arranged on the other end of the outer casing frame to have a bearing built-in, a rotor shaft having its both ends supported by the respective bearings, a rotor core arranged on the rotor shaft, a fan arranged on one end of the rotor shaft, openings formed in both axial ends of a peripheral wall of the outer casing frame, connective air ducts arranged outside the peripheral wall so as to communicate with the openings and a cooler for connecting these connective air ducts with each other and also releasing heat of air flowing in the connective air ducts to outside air. The outer casing frame is attached to the vehicle so that a central axis of the outer casing frame extends horizontally and intersects with a traveling direction of the vehicle at right angles. With rotation of the fan, air inside the outer casing frame flows in the cooler in circulation to cool down the air. The totally enclosed type main drive motor is provided with guide plates that collect traveling wind flowing around the outer casing frame to the cooler.

A conveyor apparatus is provided that is free of a pulsing motion in the circulating chains so as to provide a comfortable ride quality on its steps. The conveyor apparatus includes a step guide rail, a plurality of steps, a step chain, and a chain driving mechanism for driving the step chain. The chain driving mechanism includes a rotating and driving unit, a driving sprocket which is rotated by a driving force given by the rotating and driving unit, and a circulating chain for giving a thrust to the step chain. The circulating chain has chain links and hinges that are to be connected to the adjacent chain links. The chain link includes a placing surface on which the step roller is placed, and pressing surfaces that are in contact with step rollers.
