A medical device includes: a drive shaft that is rotatable; a drive unit that is connected to a proximal portion of the drive shaft and rotates the drive shaft; a housing that accommodates the proximal portion of the drive shaft; and a handle portion that accommodates the drive unit and the housing, in which the housing includes an accommodation portion that is provided therein, a shaft support that is disposed in the accommodation portion and has a lumen through which the proximal portion of the drive shaft is inserted, and an elastic body that is disposed between an outer peripheral surface of the shaft support and an inner peripheral surface of the accommodation portion, and since an outer diameter of the shaft support is smaller than an inner diameter of the accommodation portion, the shaft support is movable in the accommodation portion.

Medical device

A medical device is disclosed which can be inserted into a biological lumen to effectively cut and remove an object. The medical device includes a drive shaft, a cutting portion fixed to a distal portion of the drive shaft, an outer tube that accommodates the drive shaft, and a handle unit disposed in a proximal portion of the drive shaft and the outer tube. The handle unit has an aspiration port. The aspiration port communicates with an aspiration lumen disposed between the outer tube and the drive shaft. The drive shaft has a first wire rod helically wound around an axis of the drive shaft. A helical winding direction of the first wire rod wound toward a proximal end direction of the drive shaft is a reverse direction of a rotation direction of the drive shaft. The first wire rod directly faces an inner peripheral surface of the outer tube.

A treatment method and medical device are disclosed for cutting a substance inside a body lumen. The medical device for cutting substances inside a body lumen including a rotatable tubular drive shaft; an expanding part connected to a distal side of the tubular drive shaft; a cutting part covering the expanding part; and an elongated tube extending through the tubular drive shaft and connected to the expanding part, wherein a distal end of the expanding part is placed distal to a distal end of the cutting part.

A medical device for cutting an object in a body lumen includes: a tubular drive shaft; a cutting unit fixed to a distal portion of the drive shaft; a protective tubular main body accommodated in the drive shaft and the cutting unit and rotatable relative to the drive shaft; and a protective-side stopper disposed on an outer peripheral surface of a distal portion of the protective tubular main body. The distal portion of the drive shaft or the cutting unit has a drive-side stopper contactable with the protective-side stopper. By the protective-side stopper coming into contact with the drive-side stopper, the protective tubular main body is restrained from moving axially with respect to the drive shaft without being restrained from rotating relative to the drive shaft.

A treatment method and medical device are disclosed for cutting a substance inside a body lumen. The medical device includes a drive shaft that is rotatable; a cutting unit configured to be rotatably connected to a distal side of the drive shaft; a filter device configured to be inserted in a contracted state, the filter device having an elongated shaft, which interlocks with a filter portion of the filter device; a distal tube, the distal tube being on a distal side of the cutting unit and configured to receive the elongated shaft of the filter device; and a housing on a proximal portion of the drive shaft, the housing including a first drive gear connected to the drive shaft, a second drive gear connected to a motor and meshing with the first drive gear, and a first partition wall arranged between the motor and the second drive gear.

A medical device is able to achieve a high aspiration pressure while also effectively transmitting rotational torque to a cutting portion to remove an object inside a biological lumen. The medical device includes a drive shaft, an outer tube accommodating the drive shaft, a cutting portion fixed to the drive shaft, and a hub unit. The hub unit has a first housing with an aspiration port, a second housing with a liquid delivering port, and first and second seal portions disposed between the second housing and the drive shaft. The first seal portion has a first frictional coefficient, and the second seal portion has a second frictional coefficient. A medical device is disclosed for grinding substance inside a body lumen. The medical device includes a rotatable tubular drive shaft; a treatment member connected to the drive shaft so that rotation of the drive shaft results in rotation of the treatment member; an outer sheath configured to house the drive shaft; a handle located at a proximal portion of the drive shaft and at a proximal portion of the outer sheath; a guide wire lumen tube disposed within the tubular drive shaft and the treatment member, the guide wire lumen tube having a guide wire lumen; a distal end of the guide wire lumen tube located at a distal end of the treatment member or distal to the distal end of the treatment member; and a proximal portion of the guide wire lumen tube configured to penetrate a wall of the handle.

The medical device includes an elongated shaft portion; a filter portion that has multiple gaps, that is formed in a net shape, that is deformable to be in an expanded state where the filter portion has a basket shape so as to form a concave portion, and that is deformable from the expanded state to be in a contracted state where an opening end portion of the concave portion is contracted; and a support portion that is formed to include a gap larger than gaps of the filter portion and that includes an interlock portion interlocked with the opening end portion of the filter portion and a support side connection portion connected to the shaft portion.

A medical device is disclosed, the medical device includes an outer tubular member made from one or more rigid materials having a first bend element including a distal end portion of the outer tubular member and a second bend element proximal to the first bend element in a natural state; and a treatment member on the distal end portion configured to grind a substance inside a body lumen, and wherein an outer diameter of the treatment member is larger than an outer diameter of the outer tubular member, and a difference between the outer diameter of the treatment member and the outer diameter of the outer tubular member is less than a thickness of a blood vessel wall.

The medical device includes: a rotatable tubular drive shaft; a treatment member arranged on a distal side of the drive shaft; a device handle configured to locate the drive shaft; a guide cover located in the device handle and disposed to cover the drive shaft; an outer sheath disposed to cover the guide cover and located in a housing of the device handle; a first sealing member located proximal to a proximal end of the outer sheath and proximal to a fluid connection, the fluid connection configured to supply a saline solution into the outer sheath on the guide cover; and a drainage tube located proximal to the outer sheath and the first sealing member, the drainage tube being located in the housing of the device handle, and the drainage tube is fixed with respect to the housing.

A medical device is disclosed for cutting substances inside a body lumen. The medical device includes: a drive shaft that is rotatable; at least one strut that is rotatably connected to a distal side of the drive shaft, the at least one strut extending along a rotation axis, and wherein a central portion of the at least one strut is bent so as to be expandable radially outwardly; and a support portion that is rotatably connected to the distal side of the drive shaft, and wherein the support portion is formed in a mesh shape and a tubular shape while including multiple gaps, at least a portion of which is positioned on a radially inside of the at least one strut, and which is expandable radially outwardly by a central portion in a direction extending along the rotation axis being bent.
