An object is to improve estimation accuracy of the internal distribution state of a rotating electric machine. The rotating electric machine includes a stator; a rotor rotatably provided on a radially inner side of the stator; a shaft provided as a rotary shaft of the rotor; a bracket supporting the shaft rotatably relative to the stator via a bearing; and a sensor provided to the shaft between the rotor and the bearing.

Rotating electric machine system having a control circuit that estimates an internal state

A rotating electric machine includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor includes a rotor core, an axial end part, and a rotor magnet inserted into an insertion hole formed so as to pass through the rotor core. The axial end part has a recessed portion. The rotor magnet includes a first side surface and a second side surface. The first side surface is fixed to a first inner wall surface of the insertion hole. In a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction, a width of the first inner wall surface is larger than a width of the first side surface. The second side surface is fixed to a second inner wall surface of the recessed portion. In the cross section perpendicular to the axial direction, a width of the second inner wall surface is larger than a width of the second side surface.

Rotating electric machine

A control device that can prevent the deterioration of temperature estimation accuracy in a rotating electric machine due to its aging deterioration is provided. The control device () includes a correction unit () to correct at least one of thermal resistance, heat generation, and thermal capacity, which are physical quantities to build a thermal circuit model (-) covering a thermal circuit of a rotating electric machine (), wherein the correction unit () corrects at least one of the thermal resistance, the heat generation, and the thermal capacity at a measurement position by using measurement information including temperature (T) or thermal flow (U) measured by a sensing unit () at the measurement position in the rotating electric machine ().

Control device and control system

This motor device includes: a motor having components including a stator and a rotor; and a controlling circuitry to control the motor. The motor is provided with temperature sensors to detect a heat transfer amount and a transfer direction about the components. The controlling circuitry includes a temperature calculator to calculate a component temperature based on a thermal circuit network from thermal resistances and heat capacities given for the components. On the basis of actual measured values of the heat transfer amount and the transfer direction obtained by the temperature sensors, the temperature calculator corrects thermal resistances and heat capacities about the components obtained on the basis of the thermal circuit network, and estimates the temperature of each component during driving of the motor.

Motor device

Provided is a rotor for a rotating electric machine, which enables suppression of a reduction in output of a rotating electric machine. The rotor for a rotating electric machine includes: a rotor core having winding-portion insertion holes and magnet insertion holes; rotor winding portions inserted into the winding-portion insertion holes; and rotor permanent magnets inserted into the magnet insertion holes, wherein each of the rotor winding portions includes: a non-magnet portion; and a rotor winding provided to the non-magnet portion, wherein each of the non-magnet portions is fixed to the rotor core, and wherein the rotor windings are fixed to the rotor core through intermediation of the non-magnet portions.

Rotor for rotating electric machine

A system for thermal management of an electric motor, uses an augmented thermal circuit model of the electric motor, which relates temperatures of a set of nodes of the thermal circuit model with the temperature measurements at a first subset of nodes and heat losses of heat sources at a second subset of nodes, for joint estimation of the temperatures at the entire set of nodes and values of the heat losses in the second subset of nodes. The system solves the joint estimation using an estimator/observer. The system outputs one or combination of the values of the temperatures of the set of nodes and the values of the heat losses.

System and method for estimating temperature and heat loss in electric motors

Provided is a pole-number-changing rotary electric machine having excellent torque-current characteristics both at a more-pole drive time and at a less-pole drive time without use of a winding changing mechanism. The pole-number-changing rotary electric machine is configured to change a number of poles between the more-pole drive time and the less-pole drive time, and includes: a rotary electric machine including: a stator including stator slots arranged in a mechanical angle direction; and a rotor configured to be rotated by magnetomotive forces generated by currents flowing through stator coils stored in the stator slots; an inverter configured to supply an m-phase current to the stator coils; and a control unit configured to control the inverter, the per-stator-slot magnetomotive forces being arranged at regular angle intervals.

Pole-number-changing rotary electric machine and driving method of pole-number-changing rotary electric machine

Magnets are disposed between adjacent first claw portions and second claw portions so as to protrude toward a second end in an axial direction from tips of the first claw portions and so as to protrude toward a first end in the axial direction from tips of the second claw portions, magnet holding members include a base portion that covers a radially outer surface of the magnets, and the base portion includes a high magnetic resistance portion that is disposed in a direction that is perpendicular to a direction from the first claw portions toward the second claw portions and parallel to the radially outer surface of the magnets so as to cross a magnetic path from the first claw portions toward the second claw portions in a region between the adjacent first claw portions and second claw portions.

Provided is a drive control device including: a DC voltage source; an inverter configured to switch a switching element, to thereby apply a drive voltage to a rotary electric machine to cause a drive current to flow through the rotary electric machine; and a control unit configured to: control an output voltage of the DC voltage source; and perform control of causing, based on a torque command value for the rotary electric machine, a drive current to flow through the switching element in a first control mode, in which a drive current having a value equal to or smaller than a first current limit value is caused to flow, and a second control mode, in which a drive current having a value larger than the first current limit value is caused to flow.

A pole-number-changing rotary electric machine includes: a rotary electric machine; an n-group inverter; and a control unit for controlling the n-group inverter, wherein the control unit controls current phases of a current flowing through stator coils such that a current phase degree of freedom, which is a number of current phases per pole pair controllable by the n-group inverter, is equal to a number of groups n&#xd7;a number of phases m/2 at a time of high polarity driving and the number of groups n&#xd7;the number of phases m at a time of low polarity driving, where the number of groups n is a multiple of 4 and the number of phases m is a natural number of 3 or more and relatively prime to the number of groups n.

A squirrel-cage rotor manufacturing method capable of suppressing, at the time of performing die-casting, formation of gaps between closing portions and a rotor core at radially outer parts of rotor slots, or generation of a thermal stress in the rotor core as a result of expansion of the closing portions.
