A brazing-sheet manufacturing method includes superposing a core-material slab on or adjacent to at least one surface of a filler-material slab to form a clad slab, the core-material slab being composed of an aluminum material and the filler-material slab being composed of an Al—Si—Mg series alloy. Then, the clad slab is hot rolled to form a clad sheet having a core material layer composed of the aluminum material of the core-material slab and a filler material layer composed of the Al—Si—Mg series alloy of the filler-material slab. Then, the clad sheet is subjected to one or more passes of cold rolling. Either between cold-rolling passes or after the completion of the cold rolling, a surface of the clad sheet is etched using a liquid etchant that includes one or more inorganic acids. The liquid etchant does not contain fluorine atoms.

Method of manufacturing a brazing sheet

An aluminum alloy extruded multi-hole tube for a heat exchanger is formed of an aluminum alloy comprising Mn of 0.60 to 1.80 mass % and Si of 0.20 to 0.70 mass %, with the balance being Al and inevitable impurities. The aluminum alloy has a ratio (Mn/Si) of the Mn content to the Si content being 2.6 to 4.0. Strength change (tensile strength (A) of the aluminum alloy after heating test−tensile strength (B) of the aluminum alloy before heating test) thereof in a heating test at 600° C.±10° C. for 3 minutes is −5 MPa or more. The present invention can provide an aluminum alloy extruded multi-hole tube for a heat exchanger having excellent extrudability and high strength after brazing, and a method for manufacturing the same.

An aluminum alloy brazing sheet used for brazing in an inert gas atmosphere without using a flux includes an intermediate material and a brazing material cladded onto at least one side surface of a core material in this order from the core material side. An oxide is formed on a surface of the aluminum alloy brazing sheet by brazing heating, the oxide including any one or two or more of Mg, Li, and Ca and having a volume change ratio of 0.990 or less to a surface oxide film formed before brazing heating, and an atomic molar ratio of Mg, Li, and Ca to Al in the oxide formed on the surface of the aluminum alloy brazing sheet before brazing heating is 0.5 or less. The present invention provides an aluminum alloy brazing sheet having excellent brazability in brazing in an inert gas atmosphere without using a flux, and a method for manufacturing the same.

Provided is a brazed aluminum member brazed with a member formed of a brazing sheet, in which two or more grooves are provided on a surface of the brazed aluminum member in a fillet forming area, a groove depth (D) of the grooves is 0.005 mm to 0.50 mm, a groove width (W) of the grooves is 0.005 mm to 0.50 mm, a ratio (W/D) of the groove width (W) to the groove depth (D) is 10.00 or less, and a space (P) between adjacent grooves is 0.00 mm to 0.30 mm. The present invention can provide an aluminum material and a method for producing a brazed product that can secure good brazing properties even when the clearance between the jointed members is large in the case where the aluminum material is brazed without using a flux.

An aluminum alloy pipe includes a pipe body portion made of an Al—Mg series alloy that includes Mg at a concentration equal to or higher than 0.7 mass % and lower than 2.5 mass % and Ti at a concentration higher than 0 mass % and equal to or lower than 0.15 mass %, with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities, and a Zn-containing layer being outside the pipe body portion and including Zn being diffused in the Al—Mg series alloy at a concentration equal to or higher than 0.1 mass %.

In a brazing sheet manufacturing method, a cladding slab is prepared by overlaying at least a core-material slab composed of an aluminum material and a filler-material slab composed of an Al&#x2014;Si series alloy, in which a metal element that oxidizes more readily than Al is included in at least one of the slabs. A clad sheet is prepared by hot rolling this cladding slab, which then has at least a core material layer composed of the core-material slab and a filler material layer composed of the filler-material slab and disposed on at least one side of the core material. Then, a surface of the clad sheet is etched using a liquid etchant that contains an acid. Subsequently, the clad sheet is cold rolled to a desired thickness. In flux-free brazing, such a brazing sheet is capable of curtailing degradation in brazeability caused by fluctuations in dew point and oxygen concentration.

An aluminum alloy pipe-shaped hollow material is produced by porthole extrusion. The aluminum alloy pipe-shaped hollow material includes an Al&#x2014;Mg-based alloy containing Mg of 0.7 mass % or more and less than 2.5 mass %, and Ti of more than 0 mass % and 0.15 mass % or less, with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities. A work hardening coefficient n-value is 0.25 or more and less than 0.43. The aluminum alloy pipe-shaped hollow material has an inner-surface ridged structure inside thereof, and an area ratio of the inner-surface ridged structure in a cross-section orthogonal to an extending direction of the aluminum alloy pipe-shaped hollow material is 1 to 30%. The present invention can provide an aluminum alloy pipe-shaped hollow material that is an aluminum alloy pipe-shaped hollow material of a 5000 series aluminum alloy produced by porthole extrusion and has excellent bending processability.

Aluminum alloy pipe-shaped hollow material and piping material for heat exchanger

An aluminum alloy pipe produced by porthole extrusion includes: Mg at a concentration equal to or higher than 0.7% (mass %, the same applies hereinafter) and lower than 1.5%; Ti at a concentration higher than 0% and equal to or lower than 0.15%; with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities. As the unavoidable impurities, Si has a limited concentration of 0.20% or lower, Fe 0.20% or lower, Cu 0.05% or lower, Mn 0.10% or lower, Cr 0.10% or lower, and Zn 0.10% or lower. Difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the Mg concentration in a lengthwise direction of the pipe is 0.2% or lower, and the average crystal grain size in a cross-section perpendicular to the lengthwise direction is 300 &#x3bc;m or smaller. An aluminum alloy pipe used for piping or hose joints and having excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and processability can be provided.

A masking material for use in a heating process includes: a base material comprising a resin as a main resin component and containing a magnetic substance, the resin having a higher melting point than a temperature of the heating process, the magnetic substance having a higher Curie temperature than the temperature of the heating process; and a releasable protective layer formed on one surface of the base material, the releasable protective layer comprising a releasable protective material. The masking material has excellent heat resistance property and can be repeatedly used.
