A resin roof is provided with a roof main body including an outer layer and an inner layer. The outer layer structures a roof panel of a vehicle. The inner layer is provided in a predetermined region that excludes a peripheral edge portion of the outer layer. A first joining portion is provided at the peripheral edge portion of the outer layer and is joined by a first adhesive to a first joined portion that is provided at a vehicle body side first base member. A second joining portion is provided at the inner layer and is joined by a second adhesive to a second joined portion that is provided at a vehicle body side second base member. One of the first adhesive or the second adhesive is configured with higher adaptability than another of the first adhesive or the second adhesive.

Resin roof

A resin roof is provided with a main roof and a sub-roof. The main roof includes an outer layer fabricated of resin, which structures a roof panel of a vehicle, and an inner layer fabricated of foam resin, which is provided in a predetermined region that excludes a peripheral edge portion of the outer layer. The sub-roof is fabricated of resin and provided at a vehicle body side. In plan view, the sub-roof is provided between a left and right pair of roof side rails of the vehicle. A joining portion at the peripheral edge portion of the outer layer is joined to the sub-roof. Thus, together with the outer layer, the sub-roof structures the roof panel.

A pair of reinforcing members that extend along the extending direction of the cowl panel and that face each other in the vehicle width direction are attached to the cowl panel, and the pair of reinforcing members in the cowl panel are attached to the cowl panel. A head-up display device is provided at a position corresponding to between the two. That is, since the head-up display device can also act as a reinforcing member, the reinforcing structure is continuously provided in the extending direction of the cowl panel. Therefore, the bending rigidity of the cowl panel can be enhanced. Thereby, securing of the installation space of a head-up display apparatus and the enhanced of the bending rigidity of a cowl panel can be made compatible.

Vehicle front portion structure

A head-up display device includes a casing provided inside an instrument panel and provided with a concave mirror configured to project image information emitted from a light source onto a front windshield glass. In the head-up display device, a retraction portion is provided on a lower side of the concave mirror in a vehicle up-down direction and configured to allow the concave mirror to move downward in the vehicle up-down direction when an impact load is input to the concave mirror from an upper side in the vehicle up-down direction.

Head-up display device and mounting structure for head-up display device

A head-up display device includes a casing provided inside an instrument panel. The casing includes an upper case constituting an upper part of the casing and provided with a fragile portion that is configured to be broken when an impact load is input to the casing from an upper side in a vehicle up-down direction, and a lower case constituting a lower part of the casing, provided with a light source unit configured to emit image information, and having a rigidity higher than that of the upper case.

Head-up display device

An airbag includes a body portion, a tether, and a folded portion. The body portion is expanded and deployed to an outer side of a vehicle and covers a lower end portion of a windshield glass. The tether is provided inside the body portion, and connects an upper portion and a lower portion of the body portion so as to partition the body portion in the vehicle front-rear direction. Also, the tether has a through hole. The folded portion is formed by sewing the tether that is folded and overlapped.

Airbag

An airbag device includes an airbag, straps, and strap covers. The airbag is stored in a cowl portion. The airbag configured to be deployed on the front surface side of windshield glass, and to cover the cowl portion and front pillars at least in part. A first end of each of the straps is attached to an upper portion of an outer surface of the airbag in the vehicle up-down direction and a second end of each of the straps is attached to the cowl portion. The straps pass between the airbag and the strap covers. The strap covers are sewn to the outer surface of the airbag and cover the straps.

Airbag device for pedestrian protection

A vehicle member joining structure has: a metal member that is part of a vehicle; a resin member that is adjacent to the metal member; and an adhesive that is provided between the metal member and the resin member and joins the metal member to the resin member, the adhesive having an elastic modulus that is lower than elastic moduli of the metal member and the resin member, wherein, given that (i) &#x394;L is a difference in linear expansions of the metal member and the resin member at a time of heating in a drying process after application of the adhesive, (ii) Tis a thickness of the adhesive and (iii) Tis a length of an end surface of the adhesive, the following predetermined relational expression is satisfied.

Vehicle member joining structure and vehicle member joining method

A vehicle pillar structure comprises a pillar portion, the pillar portion extends in parallel with an outer side end portion in a vehicle transverse direction of a windshield glass and, as viewed from a longitudinal direction of the pillar portion, has a hollow structure. The pillar portion comprises an outer side wall forming a wall portion at a vehicle outer side of the pillar portion, an inner side wall forming a wall portion at a vehicle cabin side of the pillar portion, and a pair of side walls linking the outer side wall and the inner side wall together. At least a portion of the outer side wall is an outer side transparent portion, and at least a portion of the inner side wall is an inner side transparent portion that is disposed so as to face the outer side transparent portion as viewed by a driver.

Vehicle pillar structure

A vehicle body structure includes a roof side rail, resin first and second reinforcement members, and a front pillar. The roof side rail is disposed along a vehicle front-rear direction at both vehicle width direction sides of a roof, and is configured, by roof side rail inner and outer panels and a side outer panel, as a beam-shaped vehicle body framework member with a closed hollow cross-section structure including third and fourth closed cross-section portions. The first reinforcement member, as viewed from the side of the vehicle, is disposed to contain a connection position, at a front portion of the roof side rail, to a front roof header disposed along an upper end portion of a windshield glass, and is provided along a length direction of the front portion to fill at least a portion of a space inside a closed hollow cross-section portion at the front portion.

Vehicle body structure

A vehicle hood structure including a hood outer panel and a hood inner panel, wherein the hood inner panel is made from a resin, is disposed at a hood lower side of the hood outer panel, is joined to the hood outer panel, and includes a general portion, plural ribs and a weakened portion, wherein: the general portion has a general face that faces the hood outer panel, the plural ribs project out from the general portion toward the hood outer panel side and extend along the general face, and are set at intervals in either a hood width direction or a hood front-rear direction, and the weakened portion is formed at the ribs and extends along an extension direction of the ribs.

Vehicle hood structure

A vehicle panel joint structure comprises a pair of vehicle panels formed of a first vehicle panel and a second vehicle panel that have different linear expansion coefficients to each other; a hemming portion that is formed by folding over an end portion at an outer edge portion of the first vehicle panel; a rib portion that is formed at a leading end of an end portion at an outer edge portion of the second vehicle panel, that projects out toward the hemming portion of the first vehicle panel, and that contacts the hemming portion; and an adhesive layer that is formed between the outer edge portions of the pair of vehicle panels, and that joins the outer edge portions together.
