A heat exchanger includes: a first heat transfer tube; a second heat transfer tube; and a branching tube having a first end connected to an end of the first heat transfer tube, a second end connected to an end of the second heat transfer tube, and a third end, and connecting the first end, the second end, and the third end to each other. The first heat transfer tube is larger in heat exchange quantity than the second heat transfer tube. The branching tube has a first flow path connecting the first end with the third end, and a second flow path connecting the second end with the third end. The first flow path is shorter than the second flow path. The branching tube includes: a U portion; and an inflow portion having an end connected to the U portion.

Heat exchanger

Provided is an outdoor unit for a refrigeration apparatus, the outdoor unit being capable of suppressing decrease in reliability. An outdoor unit () includes: a compressor (); an outdoor fan () configured to provide outdoor air flows (AF), the outdoor fan () being higher in heightwise position than the compressor (); a high-heat generating electric component () configured to control the compressor (); a fan controlling electric component () configured to control the outdoor fan (); a board unit () including a compressor controlling electric component mount portion () and a fan controlling electric component mount portion (); a first cooling unit (); and an outdoor unit casing (). The outdoor air flows (AF) flow from below upward in the outdoor unit casing (), and flow out of the outdoor unit casing () through a blow-out port (). The first cooling unit () includes a plurality of first cooling unit fins () located on flow paths of the outdoor air flows (AF), the first cooling unit fins () being adjacent to the compressor controlling electric component mount portion (). The high-heat generating electric component () is lower in heightwise position than the outdoor fan () and higher in heightwise position than the fan controlling electric component ().

Outdoor unit for refrigeration apparatus

A heat exchange unit includes a heat exchanger, a structure supporting the heat exchanger, an insulating member electrically insulating the heat exchanger from the structure, a compressor electrically connected to the heat exchanger and the structure, and a connection member attached to the heat exchanger. The connection member electrically connects the heat exchanger and the structure. The connection member is provided separately from a first conductive path that electrically connects the compressor and the heat exchanger, and a second conductive path that electrically connects the compressor and the structure.

Heat exchange unit

An outdoor unit for a refrigeration apparatus includes: a casing that houses a plurality of devices including a first device and a second device; a plurality of electric components including a first electric component and a second electric component; an electric component box disposed in the casing and that houses the plurality of electric components; a first wire that carries a first voltage or current between the first electric component and the first device; a second wire that carries a second voltage or current between the second electric component and the second device; and a cover part that suppresses entry of liquid into the electric component box. The second voltage or current is lower than the first voltage or current.

A bottom frame () which constitutes a bottom surface of a casing () is divided into a main bottom frame () where a first compressor () is to be provided and a sub bottom frame () where a second compressor () is to be provided. The main bottom frame () is further divided into a first bottom frame () and a second bottom frame (). The first compressor () is to be provided on the first bottom frame (). A refrigerant circuit component () to be replaced or added in accordance with a capability or a function is to be provided on the second bottom frame ().
