An oil-in-water-type emulsion cosmetic contains an ultraviolet ray scattering agent and which has preparation stability in a system where a water-soluble alkyl-substituted polysaccharide derivative and another emulsifying agent coexist is further improved. The oil-in-water-type emulsion cosmetic containing (A) a water-soluble alkyl-substituted polysaccharide derivative, (B) a nonionic surfactant and (C) an ultraviolet ray scattering agent, wherein the blend ratio [(A)/(B)] of the water-soluble alkyl-substituted polysaccharide derivative (A) to the nonionic surfactant (B) is 1.54 or less, and the blend ratio [(A)/(C)] of the water-soluble alkyl-substituted polysaccharide derivative (A) to the ultraviolet ray scattering agent (C) is 0.02 or less.

Oil-in-water type emulsion cosmetic

A sprayable sunscreen cosmetic contains substantially no ultraviolet ray scattering agents which cause whiteness, and which is transparent immediately after being applied/sprayed, and that has excellent ultraviolet ray protection effect and a good sensation in use. The ultraviolet ray protection effect is not reduced, and the effects improve when in contact with water. A water-in-oil emulsified sunscreen cosmetic comprises: (A) 6 to 40 mass % of an ultraviolet ray absorbing agent; (B) an organically modified clay mineral; (C) an oil phase thickener other than the aforementioned (B); (D) a silicone-based surfactant having an HLB of less than 8; (E) a spherical resin powder; and (F) a volatile silicone oil; wherein a ratio defined as [total amount of ingredient (B) and ingredient (C)]/[total amount of (G) non-volatile liquid oils other than silicone oils] is at least 0.04 and less than 0.68.

Sprayable sunscreen cosmetic

A sunscreen cosmetic achieves high ultraviolet ray protection effect even when restricting a blended amount of the liquid ultraviolet ray absorbing agents ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate and octocrylene, that is stable and has excellent texture, and does not resulting in an unnatural whiteness on application. A sunscreen cosmetic comprises: (A) 0.5 to 10.0 mass % of t-butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane and/or diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate; (B) 0.5 to 5.0 mass % of bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine; (C) 0.5 to 5.0 mass % of ethylhexyl triazone; (D) 5 to 50 mass % of an ester oil to which the ingredients (A), (B) and (C) have a solubility, at 25&#xb0; C., of 10% or more; and (E) 1.5 to 12 mass % of an ultraviolet ray scattering agent; wherein the total blended amount of the ingredients (A), (B) and (C) is 1.5 to 15 mass % and the total blended amount of ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate and octocrylene is 3 mass % or less.

Sunscreen cosmetic

The present invention is intended to provide an organic UV absorber-free, non-chemical sunscreen cosmetic that contains hydrophobized zinc oxide and/or hydrophobized titanium dioxide as a UV scattering agent, specifically an oil-in-water emulsion sunscreen cosmetic that provides excellent emulsion stability and an excellent pleasant feel while maintaining high levels of UV protection.

Oil-in-water emulsion sunscreen cosmetic

Provided is an oil-in-water emulsion sunscreen cosmetic composition that can provide high protection ability against UVA and excellent emulsion stability. The oil-in-water emulsion sunscreen cosmetic composition is characterized in that it contains (A) a hydrophobized zinc oxide having an absorbance of 0.3 or more at a wavelength of 370 nm, (B) a UVA absorber being solid at room temperature, (C) a UVB absorber, (D) a liquid-state higher fatty acid, (E) a nonionic surfactant, (F) a volatile oil, (G) a quaternary ammonium compound having a long-chain aliphatic group and (H) water. Particularly, it is preferable that the hydrophobized zinc oxide has an average particle size within a range of 35 to 100 nm; the hydrophobized zinc oxide is hydrophobidized by use of hydrogen dimethicone; the quaternary ammonium compound having a long-chain aliphatic group is distearyldimethylammonium chloride; and the UVB absorber is octylmethoxy cinnamate.
