A switch () comprises a dielectric housing (), a number of stationary contacts () disposed in the housing (), a moveable contact () and a slide element () movably mounted in the housing (), a spring () disposed in the housing (), and a cover () attached to the housing (). The housing () defines a bottom wall () and four side walls extending from the bottom wall (), the bottom wall () of the housing () having a locating post () cooperating with a side wall of the housing () to confine the spring (). The slide element () defines a slide groove () which receives the locating post () so as to guide the spring () in the housing () steadily.

Switch

A slide switch () includes a housing (), a plurality of stationary contacts () embedded in the housing, a slide member () moveably contained in the housing, and a cover () attached to the housing. The housing includes a bottom surface () and a plurality of side surfaces () therearound, and said bottom surface and side surfaces cooperatively defines a cavity. The slide member includes a containing portion () and an operating portion (). A coil spring () is sandwiched between one end of the containing portion and corresponding side surface of the housing, and the moveable contact () is attached to the containing portion. The containing portion includes a rib () at an upper portion of an opposite end thereof for abutting against opposite side surface of the housing, and the rib is higher than the spring in vertical direction.
