Optical sight reticle

A weapon mount is provided to connect an accessory to a weapon adjacent a sight. The mount can include a main body, a forward projecting first arm and a locking plate. The main body can engage a rear of the sight, for example, a front sight post, and the locking plate can engage a front of the sight. The locking plate, main body and mount can be centered on the post via a centering fastener projecting through a center plate hole of the locking plate, and can be clamped to the sight post via first and second fasteners projecting through the locking plate and engaged with the first arm and a second arm which can be part of the main body or a modular body. The modular body can be slidably joined with the main body via a guide rail and corresponding slot. A related method is provided.

Sight mount and related method of use

A turret kit for an optical scope including a base, a cap, dials and a cover for at least one of the dials is provided whereby a user can rapidly, efficiently and consistently switch from one turret to another. The kit can include a base including a lower perimeter defining a base diameter, a first dial including a first dial outer diameter that is less than the base diameter, and a second dial including a second dial outer diameter that is greater than the first dial outer diameter and greater than the base diameter. The first and second dials are interchangeably mountable to the base and can provide different dimensions, functionality and/or reference indicia in different formats.

A weapon mount is provided to connect an accessory to a weapon adjacent a sight. The mount can include a main body, a forward projecting first arm and a locking plate. The main body can engage a rear of the sight, for example, a front sight post, and the locking plate can engage a front of the sight. The locking plate, main body and mount can be centered on the post via a centering fastener projecting through a center plate hole of the locking plate, and can be clamped to the sight post via first and second fasteners projecting through the locking plate and engaged with the first arm and a second arm which can be part of the main body or a modular body. The modular body can be slidably joined with the main body via a guide rail and corresponding slot. A related method of use is provided.

A rotatable buttstock mount can include a tube, a boss, a support frame including a rearward ring and a guide pin in a guide slot such that the support frame can rotate relative to the tube. When a buttstock is secured to the mount, the buttstock can rotate with the frame and thereby change the axial angle of the buttstock relative to the weapon to which the mount is secured, thereby providing a user with a variety of angular orientations of the buttstock for different shooting configurations. The mount can rotate freely relative to the tube, being actuated simply by overcoming a friction interface between components and/or a detent between the components. Thus, actuation of the mount and rotation of the buttstock to a custom angular position can be easily and quickly implemented to obtain a selected configuration for the user.

Rotatable buttstock

A multi-distance ranging reticle for an optical device is provided. The reticle can include a primary vertical crosshair transverse to a primary horizontal crosshair, a secondary horizontal crosshair having a first vertical marking and a second vertical marking, separated by a distance, the secondary horizontal crosshair corresponding to a first range. A first object having a first known width can be placed between the first and second vertical markings to estimate a first estimated range to the first object. An assortment of other vertical markings can be disposed along the secondary horizontal cross hair, and/or other additional horizontal crosshairs and separated by other distances corresponding to other known widths of other objects. By selectively framing an object of a known width between certain vertical markings along a particular horizontal crosshair, a user can quickly and efficiently estimate range of the object. A related method of use is provided.

Ranging reticle for an optical device

A turret for an optical scope including a base, a turret cover graspable by a user, a zero stop limiter, a zero stop ring extending around a guide groove, and a projection movable within the guide groove. The turret cover and the ring are operable in a zero stop setting mode in which these components rotate in unison about an axis of rotation, while the turret cover remains installed on the turret, so the projection moves in the guide groove until the projection engages the zero stop limiter to establish a zero stop. The turret cover can include a first interface element and the zero stop ring can include a second interface element that interface with one another so these components rotate in unison. The guide groove can be defined by a guide sleeve fixed to the base and threadably engaged with the ring.

Optical scope zero stop

A firearm mount is provided including an upper handguard configured to extend above a cocking lever housing of a firearm and a receiver shroud extending rearward from the upper handguard and integrally formed with the upper handguard to form a single piece guard. The upper handguard can define a cocking lever slot and the receiver shroud can define an ejection port recess rearward of the slot. The receiver shroud can include a mounting rail, such as a picatinny rail, and opposing lateral sidewalls extending downward from the rail. The receiver shroud can simultaneously extend above a firearm receiver as the upper handguard extends above a cocking lever housing to cover an upper surface of the firearm. The guard can be secured to the firearm with opposing plugs having claws that engage ledges of the receiver to clamp the guard to the firearm. A related method of use is provided.

Firearm sight

An accessory mount for removably attaching an accessory to a firearm rail includes a base having a mounting rail, a lock block moveable in a recess of the base and a throw lever, which when activated, allows springs to move the lock block in the recess so the lock block disengages the firearm rail in an open mode. The thumb lever also can engage the lock block to a closed mode in which it clamps the mount to the firearm rail in a fixed position relative to the firearm. An accessory thus can be firmly, consistently and securely mounted relative to the firearm with the mount. The thumb lever can be joined with a threaded shaft that engages a threaded element, for example, a keps nut, associated with the lock block. A toggle lock can selectively engage notches in the threaded element to set the overall clamping force of the lock block and mount on the firearm rail.
