The present invention relates to an ultrasound treatment device for HIFU and an ultrasound image, and to a control method therefor. The ultrasound treatment device comprises: a plurality of image converters disposed on one surface of a probe assembly to transmit ultrasound signals to a target and receive signals reflected by the target to create an ultrasound image; a plurality of high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) converters disposed on the surface of the probe assembly so as to be located in different positions from the image converters, wherein the HIFU converters transmit ultrasound signals to a target to generate heat energy, thereby treating a tissue within a focusing area; and a control unit performing control such that the difference between apertures of converter arrays constituted by the image converters and the HIFU converters, respectively, is less than a predetermined value.

The present invention relates to a method for high-speed parallel processing for an ultrasonic signal, the method used for generation of an ultrasonic image by a smart device, which is provided with a mobile graphic processing unit (GPU), by receiving an input of an ultrasonic signal. The method comprises the steps of: receiving an input of an ultrasonic signal beam-formed by means of a first rendering cycle, removing a DC component from the ultrasonic signal, and then separating an in-phase component and a quadrature component from the ultrasonic signal, from which the DC component has been removed, and separately outputting same; a smart device performing quadrature demodulation and envelope detection processing for the ultrasonic signal, having the in-phase component and the quadrature component, by means of a second rendering cycle; and the smart device performing scan conversion for the ultrasonic signal, which has been obtained as the result of the second rendering cycle, by means of a fifth rendering cycle, wherein the rendering cycles are formed as a graphics pipeline structure comprising a vertex shader procedure, a rasterizer procedure, and a fragment shader procedure. In the method, image data is generated using a receiving dynamic beamforming method, image data is generated using a synthetic aperture beamforming method, and the image data generated using the receiving dynamic beamforming method and the image data generated using the synthetic aperture beamforming method are synthesized with being applied with weighting factors according to advancing distances of ultrasonic waves. By using a zone blending method, in which image data according to a receiving dynamic beamforming method is mainly used for an ultrasonic image having a predetermined depth or less, and image data according to a synthetic aperture beamforming method is mainly used for an ultrasonic image having any other depth, a grating lobe and distortion of image brightness are eliminated. In addition, the non-uniformity of the image is compensated, and a uniform energy density is acquired even in an area near a virtual transmission sound source.

The present invention relates to a filter assembly for a medical image signal and a dynamic decimation method using the same. The filter assembly includes a decimation filter that includes an integer number of multiplier accumulators (MACs), changes a cut-off frequency depending on a bandwidth of the medical image signal received through a dynamic impulse response update, and performs a decimation with respect to the received signal according to a decimation ratio, wherein the decimation filter determines a filter coefficient corresponding to an integer interval so as to up-sample the received medical image signal and supplies the filter coefficient to the MACs.

A beamforming apparatus is provided for improving beamforming accuracy by employing fractional delay filters in an interpolation process and reducing hardware complexity by using post-filtering technique. The beamforming apparatus of the present invention includes a post-filtering means implemented with fractional delay filters that combines block data, on the respective channels, supposed to be fractionally delayed and obtains a delay value of fractional part from the combined data. The post-filtering means collects the block data of the channels assigned identical coefficients and performs a filtering process simultaneously.
