A surface panel is attached to an instrument panel so as to cover a display surface of a display unit disposed on the instrument panel of a vehicle. When the display unit is turned on, light L from the display unit is projected toward the driver's seat side via a thin hole formed in the surface panel.

A vehicle warning device includes a housing disposed at a front of a roof in a vehicle compartment, a plurality of light emitting units provided in the housing to emit warning light having directionality, a seating sensor that detects a seated state of an occupant on each of back seats in the vehicle compartment, a wearing sensor that detects a wearing state of a seat belt of each of the back seats, and an ECU that controls turning on of each of the light emitting units based on the seated state and the wearing state, and each of the light emitting units corresponds to the occupant on each of the back seats, and has an optical axis disposed with respect to the housing toward an eye point region ER including an eye point of the occupant on the back seat.

Display device for vehicle

An indication display unit for a vehicle has a reflecting member having an electric unit, a supporting member having a connecting portion electrically connectable with and disconnectable from the electric unit. The support member removably holds the reflecting member at a position of an instrument panel of a dash board with the reflecting surface thereof directed to a driver's seat. An indicating device is located at any position other than the dash board with the indicating surface thereof directed to the reflecting surface so as to project various operational information indicated on the indicating surface to the reflecting surface. Since the reflecting member of the present invention is provided with an electric unit and a removable connecting portion, it can be easily replaced by another type of reflecting member. Furthermore, by providing a solar cell at the rear surface of the reflecting member, the lowered electromotive force caused by self-discharge of batteries loaded on the vehicle can be somehow compensated.

Indication display unit for vehicles

An indication display unit for a vehicle, includes a reflecting device having a reflecting surface directed to a driver's seat which reflecting surface has a reduced reflectivity. An indicating device having an indicating surface directed to the reflecting surface of the reflecting device. Operational information concerning driving operation of the vehicle is indicated on the indicating surface of the indicating device, and is reflected on the reflecting surface of the reflecting device to be visibly observed by a driver. As the reflectivity of the reflecting surface is reduced, the visibility of the displayed image from the indicating surface may be improved. Since the reflecting device is provided on a dashboard, and the indicating device is located at any position other than the dashboard, a meter hood may be removed to ensure more space in the dashboard. The reflecting device is composed of a reflecting plate and a frame for supporting the reflecting plate, which is preliminary curved with a relatively good accuracy. In constructing the reflector, the reflecting plate is cured by forcibly following the curvature of the frame, thereby easily obtaining a curvature of the reflecting plate with a relatively good accuracy.

Indicator panel for a motor vehicle

To unvisualize the mechanical indicating instrument for an automotive vehicle when the ignition switch is turned off, the pointer is covered by a pointer cover below zero indication when the meter is deactivated, or a semitransparent front cover is disposed in front of the dial. In this case, the meter is offset by an offset magnet from a zero position to under the pointer cover when deactivated. On the other hand, to visualize the same instrument, when the ignition switch is turned on, lamps disposed in front and/or back of the dial are illuminated and a colored transparent pointer is illuminated by another or the same lamp in linkage with the ignition switch.
