Compressed gas data is monitored and logged. A communication interface is coupled to a device supporting at least one of flow and storage of a compressed gas. The device senses data related to the compressed gas. The data is automatically collected via the communication interface at a first data store every first time increment of a first time period. Portions of the data from the first data store are automatically collected at a second data store every second time increment of each first time period. The second time increment is greater than the first time increment. The portions of the data are collected for a second time period which is greater than the first time period.

A method is provided for monitoring and logging data related to a compressed gas operation. A communication interface is coupled to a device supporting a compressed gas operation. Data related to the compressed gas operation is automatically collected via the communication interface at a first data store every first time increment of a first time period. A tank data storing and monitoring system and method have an RFID tag coupled to and associated with a tank. The RFID tag has a unique identity specified by a unique identifier stored electronically on the RFID tag. Also included are an internet-accessing computer and database. The database stores data unique to the tank having the RFID tag coupled thereto. An RFID reader coupled to the computer is used to read only the unique identifier of the RFID tag. The computer accesses the data unique to the tank stored on the database using the unique identifier.

Operational facets of a compressor are controlled from a remotely-located computer. Data from the compressor is automatically collected at a first data store every first time increment of a first time period. Portions of the data from the first data store are automatically collected at a second data store every second time increment of each first time period. The second time increment is greater than the first time increment, and the portions of the data are collected for a second time period which is greater than the first time period. Successful verification of user authentication data collected at the computer causes automatic generation of an image of application icons at the computer to enable the computer as an input device for controlling the compressor and selections of routines available at an analytics visualization generator that uses data from the second data store.

System and method for controlling operational facets of a compressor from a remote location

A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag positioning system includes a tag holder having a first region with a slot extending from an edge of the first region, and a second region extending from the first region. When an RFID tag having an antenna is disposed in the slot of the tag holder and when the tag holder is adapted to be retained adjacent a filling fixture of a gas tank with the second region adapted to be in contact with the gas tank so that the slot is approximately perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the gas tank, the RFID tag's antenna is approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the gas tank.

Radio frequency ID tag positioning system for compressed-gas tanks

A tank support system includes a hollow open-top container having a contiguous sidewall region and a bottom region coupled to the sidewall region. A loop antenna is coupled to a portion of the container's sidewall region. A tuning circuit coupled to the loop antenna provides for adjustment of the loop antenna's electrical impedance. A radio frequency identification (RFID) reader is coupled to the tuning circuit.
