A location for application processing is selected based on latency measurements associated with a mobile network. Instead of performing application processing at a predetermined location within a network, the application processing for an application is located within the network based on latencies measured within the network as well as other considerations. For instance, the determination of the location within the network can be based on latency measurements, target latency specifications of an application, the availability of computing resources at a location, and the like. A latency aware routing controller selects one or more locations to perform application processing. The locations may include computing resources located at or near the wireless base station (BS), between the base station and other locations within the network, at the core network, at the Internet, and/or at other locations to provide applications with the computing resources to perform the application processing.

Techniques for network scheduling that may provide consistent latency in content delivery are described. For example, the techniques may include receiving, by a scheduler of a carrier network, a consistent latency request associated with an application operating on a user equipment (UE), the consistent latency request including a specified latency value. Based at least in part on the specified latency value, the scheduler of the carrier network may schedule transmission of one or more packets associated with the application operating on the UE to cause the one or more packets to arrive at the UE with an inter-packet delay substantially equal to the specified latency value.

A node of a radio access network (e.g., a cellular network) can receive a revocation message revoking a spectrum grant (e.g., a Citizens Broadband Radio Service, CBRS, discontinuation notice). The node can determine a first group of terminals that are in communication with the node via wireless resources within the spectrum grant. The node can, in response to the revocation message, trigger respective inter-band handovers of the terminals of the first group of terminals. In some examples, a system includes a domain proxy that receives a grant message indicating the spectrum grant; notifies the node; subsequently, receives a revocation message revoking the spectrum grant; and sends a handover command to the node in response to the revocation message. The spectrum grant can be located within 3GPP band forty-eight or other bands.

Techniques for proxy based network access are discussed herein. In some examples, the techniques can be implemented in a network proxy device for Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS). A base station or a domain proxy device may manage or otherwise use CBRS resources by exchanging signaling messages with a Spectrum Access System (SAS). The base station or domain proxy device may transmit signaling messages in a first private network to a network device bridging the first private network and a second private network with limited access to a public network. The network device send proxy message(s) in response to the signaling messages to the SAS and can establish an encrypted session layer or application layer tunnel between the base station and/or domain proxy device. The proxy based network access preserves secure networks while still allowing limited messaging with other public or private networks.
