A display device includes a display panel, a first auxetic structure including a first pattern that defines a plurality of first openings, overlapping the display panel, and having a negative Poisson's ratio, a second auxetic structure including a second pattern that defines a plurality of second openings, overlapping the first auxetic structure, and having a negative Poisson's ratio, and a support layer disposed below the display panel and supporting the display panel.

Display device

A display apparatus includes a first roller and a second roller each rolling about a rolling axis extending along a first direction and spaced apart from each other in a second direction crossing the first direction, a display panel connected to the first roller, and a support connected to the second roller and disposed on a rear surface of the display panel to support the display panel. A hole passing through the support is defined in the support, the support includes an end part surrounding a portion of the hole and extending along the first direction and a side part extending along the second direction from the end part, and the end part is convex toward the display panel in a cross section.

A display apparatus includes a display panel rollable around a rolling axis extending in a first direction and a support member disposed below the display panel. The support member includes a base part, support bars each extending in the first direction, arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction, and coupled to the base part, and a protruding part including a first support portion and a second support portion, each of which is disposed below the base part and extends in the second direction. The first support portion overlaps at least a portion of first ends of the support bars, and the second support portion overlaps at least a portion of second ends of the support bars, which are spaced apart from the first ends in the first direction.

A display device includes a display module, a roller connected to a first end of the display module, and a first arm and a second arm disposed on a rear surface of the display module, spaced apart from each other, and connected to a second end of the display module. Each of the first arm and the second arm includes joint units coupled to each other and rotatable relative to each other, and a torsion spring disposed in a portion of adjacent ones of the joint units.

A display device includes a housing, a display module, a support film, and a frame. The display module is accommodated in the housing in a first state and unrolled from the housing to a first direction in a second state. The support film is accommodated in the housing in the first state and unrolled from the housing to the first direction in the second state to support the display module. The frame shrinks to a first shape in the first state and expands to a second shape in the second state in a way such that the frame applies a tensile stress to the support film in the second state.

A display device includes a display module, a plurality of support bars disposed on a rear surface of the display module, a roller which is connected to one end of the display module and around which the display module and part of the plurality of support bars are wound, and a housing which accommodates the display module, the plurality of support bars, and the roller. A gap between the plurality of support bars varies according to areas of the display module.

Display device and method for manufacturing the same

A display device includes a display module. A support layer is disposed below the display module. A plurality of support bars is disposed inside the support layer and extends outside of the support layer. Each of the plurality of support bars includes first and second ends that are disposed outside of the support layer. A plurality of joints are configured to receive the first and second ends of the plurality of support bars. The plurality of joints are coupled to each other. The coupled plurality of joints are configured to rotate with respect to each other.

A display device includes a display module and a module supporter below the display module. The module supporter includes a support layer, and a plurality of support bars in the support layer and arranged in a first direction. The plurality of support bars extend in a second direction that intersects the first direction. At least one groove having a predetermined shape is formed on lateral surfaces of at least one of the plurality of support bars. The lateral surfaces are opposite to each other in the first direction.

A display device includes a display module, a module support disposed below the display module, and a housing which receives the display module and the module support. The module support includes: a support layer disposed below the display module, and a plurality of support bars disposed in the support layer and having a modulus greater than a modulus of the support layer.

Display device including module support and method for manufacturing module support

An electronic device includes a display module including a display unit and a hinge unit coupled to the display unit and configured to be rolled with the display unit, the display unit including a display panel, a flexible circuit board connected to the display panel, and a main circuit board connected to the flexible circuit board, a housing including sidewall portions each extending in a first direction, in which at least one of the sidewall portions includes an accommodation groove to which the main circuit board is inserted, and the sidewall portions are deformable between a closed state of surrounding the display module and an opened state of exposing at least a portion of the display module outside of the housing.

A rollable display device including: a support module; a display module disposed on the support module and including a display area and a non-display area adjacent to the display area; and a resin layer disposed between the support module and the display module, the display module including a display panel including a plurality of pixels, the support module including: a plurality of support bars extending in a first direction and arranged in a second direction crossing the first direction, wherein the support bars are spaced apart from each other; and a plurality of hinges disposed between the support bars and coupled with the support bars disposed adjacent thereto, and wherein each of the support bars is rotatably coupled with the hinges with respect to a driving axis extending in the first direction and the driving axis penetrates the display panel when viewed in a cross-section.

Rollable display device and a method of manufacturing the same

A display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a display unit having flexibility, at least one roller extending in a first direction to wind or unwind the display unit, a plurality of joints extending along an edge region of the display unit, and a housing in which the display unit, the roller, and the joints are accommodated and into/from which the display unit and the joints are inserted and withdrawn, wherein the display unit includes a display panel having flexibility and in which a display area displaying an image is changed as the display unit is wound around or unwound from the roller, a protective film disposed above the display panel, and a support panel disposed below the display panel.
