An image processing system uses a depth-conditioned autoencoder to generate a modified image from an input image such that the modified image maintains an overall structure from the input image while modifying textural features. An encoder of the depth-conditioned autoencoder extracts a structure latent code from an input image and depth information for the input image. A generator of the depth-conditioned autoencoder generates a modified image using the structure latent code and a texture latent code. The modified image generated by the depth-conditioned autoencoder includes the structural features from the input image while incorporating textural features of the texture latent code. In some aspects, the autoencoder is depth-conditioned during training by augmenting training images with depth information. The autoencoder is trained to preserve the depth information when generating images.

Semantic fill techniques are described that support generating fill and editing images from semantic inputs. A user input, for example, is received by a semantic fill system that indicates a selection of a first region of a digital image and a corresponding semantic label. The user input is utilized by the semantic fill system to generate a guidance attention map of the digital image. The semantic fill system leverages the guidance attention map to generate a sparse attention map of a second region of the digital image. A semantic fill of pixels is generated for the first region based on the semantic label and the sparse attention map. The edited digital image is displayed in a user interface.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include an image generation network configured to encode a plurality of abstract images using a style encoder to obtain a plurality of abstract style encodings, wherein the style encoder is trained to represent image style separately from image content. A clustering component clusters the plurality of abstract style encodings to obtain an abstract style cluster comprising a subset of the plurality of abstract style encodings. A preset component generates an abstract style transfer preset representing the abstract style cluster.

Moreover, the disclosed system utilizes a natural motion sequence model to generates a sequence of transition keypoint maps between the pre-cut frame and the post-cut frame. For example, the disclosed systems utilize a digital image collaging neural network having a particular architecture for disentangling generation of scene layouts and pixel colors for different regions of a digital image. In some cases, the disclosed systems break down the process of generating a collage digital into generating images representing different regions such as a background and a foreground to be collaged into a final result. For example, utilizing the digital image collaging neural network, the disclosed systems determine scene layouts and pixel colors for both foreground digital images and background digital images to ultimately collage the foreground and background together into a collage digital image depicting a real-world scene.

Various disclosed embodiments are directed to changing parameters of an input image or multidimensional representation of the input image based on a user request to change such parameters. For instance, the request may be to change the light source position or camera position from a first set of coordinates to a second set of coordinates.

The disclosed systems utilize an encoder neural network to generate encoded representations of the synthetic digital content item and a corresponding ground-truth digital content item. Additionally, the disclosed systems sample patches from the encoded representations of the encoded digital content items and then determine a contrastive loss based on the perceptual distances between the patches in the encoded representations. Furthermore, the disclosed systems jointly update the parameters of the generative neural network and the encoder neural network utilizing the contrastive loss.
