Various embodiments of the present invention relate to a method for providing an intelligent assistance service, and an electronic device performing same. According to an embodiment, the electronic device includes a display, a communication interface, at least one processor, and at least one memory, wherein the memory is configured to store a task customized by a user and mapped to any one among a selected word, phrase, or sentence. The memory may store instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to: display a user interface, configured to set or change the task, on the display; display at least one utterance related to the task as text on the user interface; identify and display at least one replaceable parameter in the utterance; receive a user input, which may be used as the parameter, for selecting or inputting at least one item; and store the task including the item.

Electronic device and operation method of same

A system includes a communication interface, at least one processor, and at least one memory storing information about a plurality of chatbots and a plurality of categories of the chatbots. The memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to provide an ASR module and a plurality of NLU modules, and further cause the processor to receive first voice data including a first user utterance, to process the first voice data using the ASR module to generate first text data, to process the first text data using a first NLU module into a first intent and one or more context information items associated with the first intent, to provide a first response based on the first intent and the one or more context information items, and to provide at least part of the one or more context information items to at least one other NLU module.

A method comprises receiving first data related to an input comprising a request for performing a task using a second external device and obtained through a microphone and comprising information on a user interface of a first external device from the first external device, identifying a sequence of states of the second external device for executing the task based on at least some of the first data, transmitting first information on the sequence of states of the second external device to the second external device through the network interface, receiving second data indicative of a need for an additional input for completing the task from the second external device through the network interface, and transmitting second information to the first external device based on at least some of the second data.

The location-based information service method of the present disclosure includes receiving, at the electronic device, an information service request; checking, upon receipt of the information service request, location information; retrieving first information associated with the location information; and determining a situation of a user of the electronic device in association with the location information based on the first information.
